This functional hotel, refurbished in 2004, is situated in the city centre from where you can thoroughly enjoy the attractions and monuments Murcia has to offer.
the hotel was situated in a good place in the city.
Located in the Huerta plain and surrounded by mountains, Murcia is the capital of its namesake region and a famous producer of vegetables. This picturesque city adorned in Baroque masterpieces like the Cathedral still enjoys a peaceful, local atmosphere.
Founded in 825 by the Moorish Caliph of Cordoba in the centre of the Segura River valley, the city planners created an irrigation system that inaugurated the agricultural prosperity of the region. The Old Town -showing some of the Moorish legacy- is situated along the river banks, and its main streets Platería and Trapería have been pedestrianized for easy walking access. The centre of Murcia offers accommodation ranging from 5-star hotels to low-cost pensions.
Famous city festivities include the Holy Week, the Spring Festival, and the folkloric ‘Bando de la Huerta’. If visiting Spain and Murcia during these dates, check the hotel availability with enough time in advance. The beaches of the ‘Costa Cálida’ can be reached in less than 40 minutes’ drive. Hotels between Murcia and the beach are the best way to enjoy both the city and the sea.
Murcia-San Javier Airport is 51 km away, while Alicante Airport is 73 km away. Check out the deals on Booking.com before travelling!

Don’t go during the spring festival unless you like getting drunk. The streets were a disgrace, beer and urine all over. I applaud the work of the street cleaners as the next day it was lovely. We were able to get a coffee and food where we wanted, and the monuments were open. The casino and cathedral were especially good.

Nothing really interesting to see, the historical center is very small. Maybe could be a good base to visit the surroundings, but you definitely need a car.
There is no bus service from the airport, and the taxi costs 29 euro fixed rate.
Great for food and the climate though.

A very pleasant city without many tourists.
A very pleasant city without many tourists. The central part of the city is pedestrian and thus without much noise. The city is overall clean and safe day and night. Life in this part of Spain is outdoor and many streets and plazas are in reality outdoor restaurants or living rooms. Price level in Murcia is fair and quality-price ratio is good. Do not hesitate to follow suggestions from waiters regarding food and beverages. Not everybody can speak English and even a small knowledge to Spanish will be useful.
We booked a 2-hour guided walking tour via the tourist office and it gave us a good introduction to the city (10 Euro/person). We stayed for 4 nights in a centrally located hotel and this was an ideal lenght for a visit unless you make some excurisions out of the city.
There is a hourly direct bus (ALSA) from Alicante Airport to Murcia (55 minutes and 6 euro/person). The railway connects Murcia and Alicante city.

Murcia has always been a traveler's hotspot because there are many entertainment centres to visit. Now there is a new road designed system in Murcia right now which makes it easier to travel with buses around the city centres you can move safely in the night, with beautiful Restaurants and bars to visit and have fun and Hotels are open 24/7 don’t forget many museums and Murcia special dishes with great homemade wines for your comfort there is a lot of Supermarkets and shopping centres and Murcia has great locations which ever place you go there is a lot of people on the street enjoying themselves.
We have stayed at this hotel before. It's a good city centre hotel with comfortable bedrooms and nice facilities and close to the old part of the city including the Cathedral. Parking is good value, room service, the restaurant and breakfast are all good with lots of options and at a sensible price. I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Murcia, business travellers and those having a city break. Great location.
Friendly staff on the reception. Very clean room. Although the room overlooked a busy road the sound isolation was good and with the window shut it was barely audible. Underground parking available at a reasonable price. Buffet breakfast also available at a reasonable price. Good selection of bars/restaurants all within 10 minutes walk. 10 minutes drive from the centre of Murcia, except in rush hour.
The location of this hotel was perfect for exploring the area.
Reception staff were helpful and pleasant on arrival.
Breakfast was also included in the price and there was plenty of choice.
The room was a nice size and had everything needed for our one night stay.
Underground parking was provided at an additional cost of 12.50 which was reasonable for a city centre hotel
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great . Quiet and near some nice bars and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is very good.
The room was nice and the bed comfortable.
Found restaurant and bar a couple streets away and had a fabulous meal . the waiter didn’t speak English and we didn’t speak Spaniish but but we had a great meal.
The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The staff are helpful and attentive. My partner had lost his wallet and once it was handed into reception, they even delivered it to our room. They also allowed us to store our luggage and ordered us a taxi. The hotel is also located right in the city centre, only a minute walk away from the Cathedral.
We had booked a room with a terrace - the terrace was amazing! Very large with great views of the city.
It’s very central - a minutes’ walk and you’re in the old town. There’s nearby parking too which is discounted by the Hotel. We’d definitely return if we went back to Murcia (which incidentally is a fantastic Spanish place to visit).
It is like an oasis in the desert! Beautiful quiet space with fruit trees and shade. I loved how peaceful it is and the room was very well organized. Super close to UCAM (our reason for visiting the city) and only a 15min drive to Murcia center.
Comfortable hotel for tourists. We just stayed one night.Friendly helpful staff. Room was fairly basic but had a nice shower. Breakfast was good. Also the restaurant across the street is excellent and worth a visit for regional cuisine.
Loved this hotel. Very friendly staff and a great location. Beautiful and clean, comfortable room and shower room. The breakfast was amazing. Definitely recommend if you are looking to stay in Central Murcia.
It was luxurious and there is an awesome bar for the evening! Also, the pool area is wonderful with the comfiest towels included. The breakfast is definitely the best one we had during our road trip in Spain.
Nice hotel centrally located, walking distance to all point of interest to visit in Murcia. Staff is very professional and show positive attitude to assist the guests. They keep it very clean.
Staffs are very helpful! Our backpack was stolen before we arrived hotel. Someone found it and contacted hotel staff. They helped us to get our stuff back, including our passports!
Exactly what you’d expect from an Ibis. Clean, simple room, comfy bed. Easy and cheap secure parking. 10 mins into the city on the tram a couple of mins walk away from the hotel.
One of the best trip to Spain, we got great welcoming from Amal as she speak Arabic, English and Spain. She also was helping us to find the best places for shopping and food.
They had breakfast in the heladeria downstsirs, cost only 2,80 Euro.
Good heating in the room.
Comfortable beds and good shower.
