Clean room. Very comfortable big bed. Bathroom would need à bit of more detailed cleaning
Being right by highway and border, very bush hôtel.
Thank you to receptionist who came check out the faulty air system in our room despite such a busy time.

The locaties is excellent when you travel by train. Friendly staff.
It was a little difficult finding somewhere to eat at night.
It was a little difficult finding somewhere to eat at night. There were lots of wine bars, a few Tapas places and fast food areas in the nearby shopping mall. However, a good quality restaurant we couldn't find despite walking around the town for 30 minutes.

Friendly and helpful staff, close proximity to SNCF in Hendaye. Room was adequate in size and very clean. View across the terrace to dilapidated buildings was not exciting. Restaurant clean and efficient with very friendly staff.

Although it was only a one night stop-over there is a little bit more to Irun than we first thought
At the bottom of one of the main streets are the cobbled streets of the old town, with one or two good little cafes and a lovely park

lovely hotel - lovely people [particularly the boss with an excellent sense of humour - mind you, it helps speaking Spanish] - good service - delicious breakfast. We love this hotel!1
Only slightly marred by African/ Arab gentleman begging outside [and occasionally, inside the bar] - constructive suggestion, call the police / kick him out / get rid of him Suggestion to him: Get a job - the rest of us had to!

Loved our stay, left us feeling relaxed, having hot drinks in the room was a bonus and attention to detail was lovely. Walking distance to eat would be a problem for anyone with difficulties but I am sure a taxi wouldn’t be a problem, we found a bar restaurant nearby and the service and food was excellent, would definitely stay again.

We drove to the hotel, our Sat Nav took us straight to the door, we arrived around 3pm so it gave us chance to expire the close surroundings, seems a very busy and vibrant area with lots of shops, and places to eat and drink. We ate in a lovely curry place called 'curry'. The hotel is perfectly situated that you can walk to all these places
Excellent location for a stopover enroute between France and Spain. Room was of a good size, bed was extremely comfortable, bathroom was enormous! Cleanliness was exceptional. Unusually for a hotel in Spain (in our experience), there were coffee making facilities in the room in the shape of a Nespresso (or similar) machine, but there were no instructions and only two capsules were provided (although doubtless we could have obtained more from the reception). We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on type/quality.
Ana was a lovely host. I booked late in the day and arrived in the evening, and her daughter greeted me and showed me around. The house is lovely; the room has a beautiful mountain view and excellent blackout shades so you can sleep past sunrise. Irun is a sweet town; there are many cafes and bars and the house is close to the metro station and the train to other nearby towns. I highly recommend staying with Ana if you are in Irun.
The hosts were so lovely and massively helpful. The property had everything we needed and lots more, super comfortable bed, lovely living room and fabulous bathroom. The location was exceptional, close to a fenced park for dog walks and although the location was very tranquil we were so close to the centre of Irun. Great stroll into the city centre for our evening meal to a restaurant recommend by our hosts.
- The gentleman who owns the place is really nice.
- I thought I was sharing the bathroom but actually there was a shower in the room, so only the toilet was shared.
- It's location is great- Irún center is close, there are busses to Hondarribia right across the street and the Camino passes a few meters away.
Excellent location. Tastefully modernised, old-fashioned hotel with lots of original features. Lovely old lift. Great free parking, right in the middle of town. Lots of communal areas, if you don’t want to stay in your room. Nice garden. Very comfortable beds.
I arrived very late because of train issues. The staff was very comprehensive and happy to help.
The room is good, but there was a bit of noise because of the close train station and a bar below.
Overall, it was a good experience for a one night stay
The hotel is ideally situated for an overnight stop on the way to other locations in Spain. The parking is free. The room was very comfortable and, in spite of the situation next to the motorway was perfectly quiet. We enjoyed a very good breakfast.
Quiet, comfortable, clean and well-appointed. And the host, Rosa, was exceptionally kind - amable - and helpful. She even helped us get from our car drop off at the Irun airport to Hendaye across the river in France.
The hotel is in exactly the right place to break my drive from Southern Spain to my home in Paris and it has served me well in the past. As ever the staff are friendly and provide efficient service.
Ibis's experience is always fair and reflects the expectations. I think it is incredibly convenient and I always suggest staying in IBIS when looking for an affordable, standard, and convenient stay.
We used the hotel as a stopping point on a long journey - for this purpose it is perfect as it is right next to the motorway. Rooms are fairly basic but clean and comfortable enough.
Good location (near train station). Irun was interesting to visit and this was a good place to stay for the money. Room was very nice and the bathroom was very clean.
We chose the hotel because of the location to start Camino Norte. Very good buffet breakfast included in the price. Clean room with spacious bathroom. Helpful staff.
perfect hotel with large room, very clean. impeccable reception, professional and available. It is not the first timme and it is always a good stopover
