The old town is very charismatic and walkable.
The old town is very charismatic and walkable. Also there is a cable car which takes you to a castle on the opposite side of the river. One frustration, for us, was trying to find a German restaurant. Plenty of Italian and other nationalities, but very difficult to find a German restaurant in the Old Town area. Koblenz appears to be popular with river cruises and we believe offers day cruises "in season". We did find one "hidden gem" in the Old Town, Wirthaus am Huhnermarkt. Without a doubt, they serve the best Wiener Schnitzel we have ever had.

I have a lot of photos to share so other people don’t make the same mistake we did. On Entering the hotel we were horrified by the condition of it. I now understand why you only post what the rooms look like. It was filthy. I had an asthma attack almost straight away. The dues, cobwebs broken doors NOT TO MENTION THAT THE WINDOWS WHERE NAILED SO THEY CANNOT BE OPENED. IT IS A FIRE HAZARD WAITING TO HAPPEN AND THERE IS NO WAY OUT OTHER THEN THE FRONT DOOR. FIRST NIGHT WE STAYED ELSEWHERE DUE TO ME GETTING SICK , second NIGHT we spent the night at your Honeybee which was a disaster. YOUR HONEEBEE COST $ 2000 dollars and although we tried to contact the manager to place us else where HE CHOSE TO ONLY COMUNICATE IN GERMAN THEN TOTALLY IGNORED US AND DID NOT ANSWER HIS PHONE. WE BOOKED OURSELFS INTO ANOTHER HOTEL WHICH WAS LOVELY AND CLEAN. SO FAR WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY COMPASSION FOR OUR 10 days we were supposed to have stayed there. If any one wants to see photos of HOW BAD THIS PLACE IS I AM HAPPY TO SHAER. 🤬😱😢🥺😩📷

Very nice city in itself, full of great restaurants and things to see and do, but also as a starting place to explore the Mosel and the Rhine river in their most beautiful setting. Many opportunities for sightseeing by car, train, and boat. And do not forget the great wines to taste in this part of Germany!

Koblenz was a nice surprise!
Koblenz was a nice surprise! Of course: when you are (like we were) staying in a hotel located in the Altstadt and just walk around in that area, you only see a small part of Koblenz, but oh so nice! The place where the Mosel joins the Rhine at the Deutsches Eck.
I chose to be near the train station as was only there overnight and it was one stop on my travels - this wasn't the most exciting location as it probably would have been nicer to stay either nearer the Rhine or in the Old Town but it was convenient and really, only a 10 minute walk to the start of the Old Town area.
The room and bathroom were both quite large and the shower was good. Wi-fi worked perfectly. There was a bar / restaurant attached to the hotel so convenient if you didn't want to go far.
Fabulous host, so very kind, communicative and helpful! Our room had a private bath and was very large. Mattress was super comfortable.
Really, really likes the neighborhood, which has some beautiful historic buildings and interesting fines for those who like exploring off the beaten track.
If you don’t have a car and are planning on spending evening in Koblenz, you can take bus or get Uber, but ferry runs during the day only. We took the bus from Koblenz at 11:20pm and it was cheap, fast and easy.
Trip Inn Hotel Hamm is a hotel within walking distance to the railway station and the Old Town. It is spotless clean, modern and my single room had a view of a nearby church. The bed was comfy with down pillow and duvet. Coffee was available in the room, which was great! It's close to restaurants and a few shops. The check-in was smooth, the personnel nice. Breakfast was available for 10 euros per person, but I did not try it. Maps and travel info are available at the reception.
Good location, city center 5min. away, by crossing the green pedestrian bridge over the road. Reasonable prices for drinks in vending machine. Very polite staff that actually speaks English, a rarity in Germany! The room was clean and good size. Big parking lot, but at night it was packed full. There are a couple of places where you can squeeze your car even if parking is full. Overall great place!
Five minutes from the train station and an easy walk to Old town, this was a terrific place to enjoy Koblenz and an excellent value for our three day stay. Also, the in hotel breakfast gave us a good start every morning. The easy access to the train station helped us explore the Rhine and Mosel river areas. And there IS an elevator! We would definitely stay here again.
It is a very sweet hotel with exceptionally friendly staff.
The room was very clean and bright.
I liked the breakfast area very much. And in summer, I assume, it will be a separate pleasure to sit outside in their small garden.
the Hotel is located close to the central railway station, to the city center / old town and in 5 minutes of walk from the Rhein river.
A lovely view of the river from pur balcony and at a reasonable cost. Room itself was well organized with a very comfortable.bed. Had a tasty meal just two doors down from the hotel and there was slso a pizzeria next door. Just a block away. I found a great little store with various choices of liquor and snacks.. Wish we could have stayed longer!
We are missing the day and lost the other hotel, which I booked by accident on different days, i knew about it only when i came to koblenz
So i looking other hotels and this was free
Check in and check out was easy in automat
All i needed for one night were in there
So I was happy that I didn't stay on the street
Thanks)
Fantastic location. Close to old town. Really very beautiful river view. Excellent dinner. Friendly employees. Fast check in. Parking place in front of the hotel. Very tasty breakfast. Huge windows in the restauarant and breakfast room are a joy!
Absolutely stunning. Host met us when we got there and explained everything. There was a washing machine we didn’t expect and she brought us pods. Everything was fantastic. Round the corner to the beautiful old town .
Beautiful apartment in the old district of Koblenz. Lots of extras like coffee and tea. Bakeries near by and good restaurants. Quick, personal check in. Would love to stay there again if in Koblenz.
The hotel is certainly a recommendation for city trips, but also very practical for appointments at the university. It is well located, has a large parking lot, modern rooms, and a friendly team.
Lovely hotel literally cross the road and you are in the beautiful old town of Koblenz..Hotel room was spotless. We stayed in a twin room which was very comfortable with very comfortable beds.
Very clean, modern and well appointed. We appreciated the fan. Comfortable bed. It is exactly as it looks in the picture.
It is perfectly situated for the old town, and for the riversides.
Excellent location in Koblenz Old Town. Big, nice apartment with balcony. Good bed. Cleanliness. Stayed for only one night but could have stayed longer.
