Good location, excellent beds, all comfort that a family needs. The owner is a friendly and welcoming person. He upgraded us on his own initiative from a room for 3 to an appartment for 5 without extra charge. We had a good lunch and an excellent brekfast. I highly recommend this hotel.

Heimbach is small German town within the Eifel National Park. Very good destination for easy to medium hikes, but also popular with bikers and cyclists. Close-by there is a dam lake were you can do plenty of water sport activities(sailing, SUP, kayaking, swimming, boat trips). The scenery is quite unique. In Heimbach central you can find many traditional German houses it has an old town vibe, with many places to sit inside but without a
"touristy" vibe. There is castle which is well worth visiting and also an art academy which hosts art events every now and then. The restaurants and breakfast places in the centrum offer traditional German dishes which basically means lots of meat and bear. Because of Cologne's close proximity you can find many places with Kölsch beer on the tap, which is quite different from the most common Pils types. Perfect destination for families who like outdoor activities. It is said the the national park has very little light pollution so stargazing can also be a fun thing to do.

Chose Heimlach without much research. We were looking for somewhere in the Eifel with facilities. We loved it and will be back. Great trails accessible from town, decent reasonable value food. Tourist information very helpful. Kids loved the river, walks and crazy golf.

A great place both for relaxing in the bosom of nature (the Eifel mountains, dams / lakes on the Ror river) as well as sightseeing tourism (not far to Aachen or Cologne).
Car is recommended, the train seems to be too expensive.

Its a beautiful town in a beautiful location with walking and cycling on your doorstep, it has a great openair swimming pool plenty of bars and resturants and a good supermarket. The people of Heimbach are very friendly and helpful.
Stayed over Easter Holidays and it was lovely. Staff was professional and very helpful. The surroundings are beautiful. It is an excellent location to explore the Northern part of the Eifel National park. The indoor swimming pool is clean and convenient and the bicycle rental shop is located near the restaurants and tourist office, very convenient. No compliants and would love to return some time.
The hotel room was clean and had plenty of space for our family of 5. The location was very close to the castle, restaurants and there was parking nearby. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They recommended restaurants, helped us make restaurant reservations (we are only English speaking), and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a perfect start to our vacation.
Spacious rooftop apartement in a traditional German house with plenty of space and nice interior. Friendly and kind host. Everything was clean. Lots of kitchen appliances. Nice view on Heimbach castle. Very good, central location, many restaurants are closeby. We could leave our luggage after checkout until afternoon. FYI: we had to pay in cash, its not good or bad but I had to carry some.
The location was perfect for visiting Heimbach and nearby places in Eifel park. The apartment was opposite the castle and very cosy. The kitchen had what we needed for a few days stay. (Parking space for cars is limited in front of the apartment. The nearby public parking space is free from 18.00h to 08.00h. Between 08.00 to 18.00h it has 2 hour limit.) We had a pleasant stay here.
The main purpose was to visit Monschau, and here to the city was just an hour. On the way, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the Eifel national park was so green!
On the second day, we hiked around the town! You must visit "Abtei Mariawald"!!
The hotel was so nice, clean, quiet and histiocytic! We bought honey from the owner, that was delicious!!
I really like this place, it’s very tidy and comfy. And me and my friends enjoy the one night there, it has all the things you need. Highly recommended! The hotel owner is sooo nice and lovely, she offered us nice German style breakfast, and we love it. Location is super nice, close to the restaurant, cafe, ice cream shop and everything.
We stayed in the 6 persons bungalow, it was really good. Comfy beds, nicely decorated, good views and the sauna was excellent! It has two bathrooms (which wasn’t clear from the picture).
There is a nice walk, if you go down to the river and then along the water to Heimbach. It is 3.8km. Even in the rain we still had a good time!
Excellent location in the middle of Heimbach, ten minutes' walk from the train station, near to the restaurants, five minutes' walk to the park and start of the hiking trails. The apartment was a perfect size for the three of us (one adult and two children). We comfortably cooked and ate some meals in the kitchenette.
The room was big, comfy, and very clean, the view from the balcony wonderful, the breakfast good (including doggy bags!!), and the landlady very nice! The B&B is located in Hasenfeld which is quite a walk from Heimbach proper and the Rursee, but is conveniently situated between both.
Many hotels feel like non-places. Nondescript infrastructure to transport you forward in time to the next morning. This hotel is not one of them. A very human place where nothing is more systematic than it needs to be. It feels like a place from another time, in a good way.
Overall, it was a good hotel to stay, but the value for money is just not there. It is more of a 50-60 euro range hotel than 90-100 euro.
Staff were friendly, and he even called me to check my arrival. The location is also very good, just opposite the castle.
The owners received me with a very warm welcome, very friendly people. The appartment was very well equipped, even the kitchen. The appartment lies in the heart of Heimbach, but nature is always around the corner (a 10 minute walk to Eifel forests).
Good location over looking the water. Plenty of parking, very modern hotel with very helpful staff. Plenty of walking in the near vicinity, with boat trips also available. Very good breakfast with top rated restaurant also available.
Place was very clean. It doesn't serve breakfast but has modern nice and clean kitchen facilities including a fridge. Bed was also very comfotable. Parking was in front of a hotel. It was close to the shops and restaurants.
Charming traditional guest house in the German countryside. A very welcoming couple who run it. Quiet village, but close to Heimbach and Nideggen which have plenty of restaurants.
Cozy place in center of Heimbach with walking distance to all the cafe and restaurants. It was perfect for a one night sleep and recovery on our cycling tour.
