Comfortable accommodation for 5 if the trip is short as ours. The massaging bed was a plus. There is the needed facilities for cooking - coffee machine, electric kettle, dishes etc. The parking place is also plus. For everything was great according to our expectations.

The purpose of our trip was skiing in Borovets.
The purpose of our trip was skiing in Borovets. Samokov was a good value alternative to Borovets as we had a rental car. The drive between the two is very easy 10-15 minutes.
There is some nice traditional restaurants in Samokov and much better value than the restaurant in the Borovets resort. If you don't mind staying outside of Borovets this is a good option to save money.
There are 3 big supermarkets next to eachother in Samokov, Lidl, T market and Billa so you can get everything you need if you are self catering.

Close to Borovets, but quieter and more traditional.
Close to Borovets, but quieter and more traditional. Lots of lovely restaurants serving local and european dishes at great prices. You cant always recognise a restaurant from outside as they look just like normal houses (not in the town centre, no menus outside, no windows looking out on to the street to see through, so best to check online or ask advice).
We had a nice walk through the town centre with it’s statues and fountains, parking on the street was fine and very quiet at noght.

Samokov is a short drive to the ski resort of Borovets and if you prefer not to be in the bustle of a ski resort at night there are plenty of restaurants. Whilst we we there it snowed all week but I could imagine that in the summer that there are some lovely parks and walks nearby

Lovely bulgarian town, busy market there to look around, good bus route to it from Sofia.
Can also get the bus to Borovert for about 2 levs.
Lovely old buildings to look at, lovely swimming area in the town for in summer and good big food shopping places. The younger people speak some form of English, but there nodding for yes and shaking for no is the other way so can get confusing. Worth a visit.
An exceptionally great value apartment located within walking distance to shops, restaurants and amenities like the pool and ice-rink. Host made check-in easy - very welcoming. Great local knowledge and happy to direct and ensure you get the most from the stay. A short drive to the ski resort, around 12 minutes. Very easy to park each night. Great attention to detail, especially in the kitchen where you have everything and more you'd need for any meal prep. The host has done a great job.
Very comfortable, warm and spacious. Great for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). Kitchen area was very clean and there is a supermarket next door. Lidl also very close. Free parking. Borovets is a short 15-20 minute drive. We parked in Borovets for 10 lev a day, right next to the piste so it was very easy with the children getting going in the morning and returning at the end of a good days skiing.
We stayed at Hotel Grand and skied in Borovets. It was the best decision. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The room was big and clean. The hotel is conveniently located, right next to three supermarkets and only a very short walk to the shuttle bus to Borovets. The shuttle bus came on time and took less than 20 mins. I cannot recommend this hotel more!
+ the attitude of the staff towards us - everyone was extremely kind and helpful
* they allowed us an early check-in & a very late check-out
* prompt reply of our message via the Booking.com app
+ the cleanness of the room & the whole hotel
+ the fresh & tasty food (especially the local trout fish & the veal meatballs)
+ the green and cozy garden
+ the free parking lot behind the hotel building
Room is perfect, the little garden with tables and bbq facilities is great, location is close to 2 of the best restaurants in Samokov.. but what makes the difference is the owner Hristo who will go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. He also has a ski rental office in Borovets and he is a ski instructor so you really don’t have to worry about anything :-)
We had such a nice week at alex‘s place. He was really kind, helpfull and always interested how we‘re doing! He could give us nice tips what to do around. So Samokov is the perfect place for visiting the Rila Nationalpark to go hiking, climbing or skiing. The house offers everything you need for having a good time and base for your next trip.
Very nicely renovated flat in samokov. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything you needed to cook simple meals. A baby crib was provided for free and the host communication was very easy.
Very well positioned rooms and three bathrooms which makes it easy when you have 5+ people on the property at once. Big back yard and plenty of space for four vehicles to park in it.
Clean, quiet, spacious room, comfortable bed, balcony with nice view, accurate photos and description, friendly host, good wifi. Highly recommended. I would stay here again.
The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds. Easy to move them. The bathroom was very clean and comfortable. All the room facilities you need to have were there.
I recommend this hotel. It is very easy to find. The parking is big. The room was comfortable. The Breakfast was good. I will go there again. Great value for the price.
Big, comfortable house with a lot of space for big gatherings of people! The house has all the facilities for making a perfect dinner party! Very convenient location!
A very nice and spacious room in the very center of Samokov. The bed is pretty comfy, and everything you want to see or visit is within the walking distance.
