The owners have got everything spot on in setting up this purpose-built B&B. Communication of details prior to arrival was excellent. We arrived late in the evening in the dark and rain, but pulling into the tastefully lit and very neat driveway / parking area gave an immediate sense of relaxation. Entry to both the gated drive and apartment was by keypad, so all very straightforward despite the late hour. The apartment was spotlessly clean, with every single aspect so well designed and carefully thought through. Efficient air conditioning, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, impressively well-equipped kitchen (hob, double oven, large fridge, dishwasher, all the crockery and utensils you could need for extended self-catering), and copious cupboard space throughout. It has its own patio area with a pleasant view. The location is peaceful. Ghent itself is readily accessible, but for me the rural area to the north was more of an attraction. Quiet, flat roads in pristine condition made for a very enjoyable early morning run. We were there for only a weekend, but I would have happily stayed much longer.

Me and my 2 friends had the pleasure to stay in Marc's house   1) He was very welcoming, he didn't hesitate to show us around the house and answered all our questions 2) He was supportive and we appreciated his advices to see the around the neighborhood and he recommended few castles 3) He is very kind and smiley person.   l actually didn't check booking.com whether there was a pet or not and there was a cat apparently xD and my friend was afraid of cats. However, the cat was invisible in the common room. l never saw her. l had the chance of seeing and peting her once in the yard.   Good luck in constructing jacuzzi in the front yard!   The other guests and Marc with his wife were quiet during the night. We were not bothered by any kind of noise whatsoever.   4) The only that l would like to mention which he is also aware that - the door of the toilet in the upstairs was still in-progress and since we were living in the same room for the night, we decided not to use the toilet, since any of us wouldn't have any privacy.   l am glad that he already knew this problem and he informed us to use the toilet in the first floor, which solved this issue.   Dear Marc, thank you very much for your kindness and hospitality!

My husband and I were travelling by bike to Zeeland and made a stop in Ertvelde. We were very warmly welcomed by our hosts and could park our bikes safely in the garage. The B&B and the restaurant are fantastic. We had a great diner and breakfast. We recommend Visite!

Breakfast was very nice. They had gluten free options, upon request, which were tasty. The room was clean and tidy. I forgot my international adapter and the person at the front desk allowed me to borrow one for the evening, which was very kind and helpful.
