The location was exceptional. Our cabin was nestled in the sandhills close to the beach. It was well equipped with stove, microwave and refrigerator. Check-in was quick and easy and the staff were friendly.

Beautiful wild beach. Still too cold for swimming in Sept/Oct though. Got to watch dolphins and whales. Close to other beaches and larger town of Forster which is better for dining out and groceries.

Our family of 2 adults and 4 kids (16-9yrs) were very comfortable in the 3 bedroom townhouse. We tended to drive to Elizabeth beach (5 mins) each day rather than walk to Blueys as we didn't realise Blueys wasn't patrolled at any time of the year and was very rough when we were there. Boomerang could have been another option however it was also closed for swimming due to rough conditions. we also went to Shelly beach - nudist at one end (first entrance) but lots of families down the other end. we went snorkling which was great and also saw a port jackson shark. Although it is ~10 min max walk into Shelly - it was stunning and worth checking out. You could see people down the other end didn't have clothing on - however you couldn't see any details or even determine if male or female - so no issues there with the kids (well on the day we went - you make your own choice).
the shops and few cafes were 5 min walk away. The kitchen was so well equipped that we cooked most nights.
My kids loved that they had a big pool to use when they got back from the beach and we also enjoyed playing tennis each evening as a family.
The clubhouse was also used by the kids on some occasions to play pool - or draw and meet other young kids (9 yr old girl did this).
The townhouse was nicer than I expected and had everything we needed. note that they all vary in style (ours was quite modernly furnished and funky)- however apparently the quality is pretty much the same.
The cleanliness when we arrived was impressive - although the bathrooms are dated - they were impeccably clean. the kitchen was also squeaky clean.
The managers are really doing a great job with this property - and are so helpful if you want any advice on where to go or what to eat.
Enjoy your stay!

Love Blueys beach but not the best choise with a dog as it's national park everywhere. The one coffee shop that was open had too many people outside we didn't feel comfortable walking through lots of people so didn't have a coffee. The club was great exelant covid plan.

Very clean sandy, not many rocks on the beach.
Very clean sandy, not many rocks on the beach. Surf was up due to storm, waves more suited to surfing than swimming but it is winter. Parking could be a problem in summer. A few cafes for eating but restricted due to covid, take away would be advisable. Larger shopping centres at Foster approx 30 mins drive. Plenty of national parks with walking trails, walks around the lakes but check as many not for disabled, Board walk at Foster suitable for wheel chairs. Surrounding roads need some repair work. Lots of small beaches, rainforest, lakes, whale watching cruises, boat hire for lakes to see dolphins, surf lessons, bird watching, walking, swimming, sailing or lazing on one of the many beautiful beaches.
Boom5 is just down the road from Boomerang Beach and 5 minutes walk to Blueys Beach and shops.
The accommodation has everything for cooking and sleeping(no sheets or pillowcases).
Tv has netflix if you have an account and very comfortable place to stay.
There is an outside hot shower for when you come back from beach. Lovely paintings on walls and all laundry needs.
These apartments are in a great location within walking distance of the small group of shops & Blueys Beach. The wifi was good once we were able to access it. The bathroom is compromised to make room for the washer dryer but its good to have a laundry if staying for a week. Basics supplied in the kitchen.
Wonderful self contained family getaway - close enough to walking into town and Blueys Beach. Well contained for self service accommodation. Weather wasn't conducive to a beachside getaway (not the fault of Blueys Retreat) - didn't get the chance to check out the games room tho
clean, comfortable, spacious. Well equiped kitchen including complimentary (I hope) hotel-like tea-coffee-treats. pool. very close to beach. Able to visit 9 hole sandbar golf course every morning before kids awoke. Christmas tree.
Villa no 2 was perfect spacious SBS right next to the pool! Walking distance to shops Kembali cafe and bonnet and beach and blueys beach ! Wish we had stayed longer and had time for the tennis courts !!
Location very close to the shops and Blueys beach.
Staff were very friendly and the room was very clean and of an adequate size.
The pool area was also very nice and a good place to relax.
