This is a wonderful hotel and the staff is lovely and polite. The location is straight on the lake and the rooms offer scenic views. The private beach at the hotel is beautiful and the pool/sauna facilities are a nice extra. The breakfast has a great selection and the dinner room is amazing, literally on the lake. I’ve stayed here before and always love coming back. Highly recommended!

Location is really great and view from the apartment is wonderful. Salzburg is just 25 mins drive from here and Hallstatt just 1 hour. The owners of the house is so warm and friendly, he gave eggs from his farm after our arrival. And also kept welcome drinks for us. The house is very beautiful. We feel like home. And the owner has a pizzaria within 300 meters of the house, the pizzas were great too.

The location is not on a main thoroughfare so it is a hidden jem with lots of things to do nearby - rivers lakes, hiking and bike riding and skiing in winter - This place has everything! We got an amazing appartment with a fully equipped kitchen, seating in the garden full of roses and a comfortable bed. Everything was clean and tidy. The location must be great for cycling. The closest lake (Hintersee) is approx. 5 km from the appartment. Othwerwise Faistenau has a bigger supermarket, bakery and a few restaurants.

We got the best room in the house with two balconies giving us a fantastic view of the mountains and the town. Our host Nicola and her staff were very friendly and helpful.
