Beautiful location, comfortable accommodations and the family we stayed with was amazing. They were able to organize everything for us. Completely hassle free, comfortable, and affordable. Our hostess prepared a fresh fish lunch for us on our second day. We arrived a little too late on the first day so they boated us to a nearby restaurant which also had great food. Dinner was served on site and was fresh and delicious. They also organized a private boat tour of the local islands at a fraction of the cost. Can't say enough about this place. Felt completely at home. Highly recommended!

I arrived on the Titicaca train in the early evening, and a driver had been organized to drive me to the local port, where I was escorted by Juan, an exceptional host in every sense of the word, to the island which he and his father had built. During my stay there, Juan invited me on mini tours around some of the islands, where I learned more about Uros culture and history. The Peruvian meals prepared by his wife Amalia were exceptional- always on time, delicious, substantial and inviting. I was never hungry. Juan ensured that my stay at Amalia was truly exceptional and something which I'll never forget- watching the starry nights from a comfortable and warm bed, enjoying the sounds of silence of the lake, being mesmerized by the sunsets, and learning more about the natural beauty and wildlife of the area. This was truly an amazing experience!

Rooms at Uros are built out of wood and the regional totora, and they are decorated with local ornaments. They all offer great views of the lake and are fitted with a private bathroom. Towels are available. I've only great things to say about this lodge. Everything was perfect! Let's start with host Ivan who couldn't have been nicer. Had to change my booking after missing a flight and he was extremely helpful. Messages were promptly replied and questions answered to the fullest of my satisfaction. The Lodge itself is more than i could have hoped for. The pictures don't do the rooms any justice. My room was stunning and impeccably furnished. The turndown service with the warm bottle and instructions on how to heat the room was perfect. The bed was so comfy and when you wake up to the view i woke up to you know you don't want to leave. The food was great. There's hot water & coffee to make yourself a drink whenever you want to. The host was very attentive and made me feel at home. The transfers to and from Puno worked perfectly. I think it was the most beautiful place I've ever stayed in! There are 3 houses on a floating island, owned by a father and a son. They are extremely nice people! The price is ridiculously small for what they offer. The view from the huge windows of the house is amazing, and so is the stay on the floating terrace.
