The location is absolutely amazing - so beautiful and peaceful! The little kitchen was nice to have, and the large shower (dual shower heads and full-length window/view of the vegetation) was unique! Very convenient for hiking to the beaches of Tayrona.

We enjoyed Polo's culinary skills, showcasing local flavors and ingredients. The chocolate tour was an absolute highlight! Learning about the process while indulging in treats was an experience we won't soon forget. Also the inclusion of local fruits from the grounds was a delightful touch. It felt like a genuine connection to the land and its offerings. From the moment we arrived to the second we left, Polo's warm hospitality and attention to detail were evident. Quetzal Dorado Eco-Lodge ligt in Los Naranjos, op slechts 1,5 km van de ingang van het nationaal park Tayrona in El Zaino. We had a wonderful stay here. The location is easy to reach. Wonderful staff. The views of the hotel is so magical, you are surrounded by forests. Included breakfast was tasty and filling, and they had vegan options. I wish we could stayed here more.

What makes this place so great, as so many have alluded to, is Fiona and Helmut - lovely, hospitable hosts who do everything they can to make you feel welcome. Loved the breakfasts and Helmut’s cooking in the evening was excellent too. The location is just magnificent and the views from the Finca and from the poolside are unforgettable - banana trees, jungle and the beautiful coastline. It is a rustic place but with lots of beautiful touches and a great spot from which to totally unwind and escape - though we also used it as a base to explore nearby Tayrona National Park and Palomino, both short bus rides away from the bottom of the hill. Thank you guys for sharing your slice of paradise with us, we miss it already!
