We loved our stay at the Serenity Retreat! The location is awesome, just at the border of the jungle. The room has all needed, very clean and cozy. Waking up i the middle of nature (at the view of the rice field and jungle) was my favorite part of our Sri Lanka trip! We had all meals there and they were very big and super delicious!

The location, view and staff were amazing. Away from pollution and the air is clean. The river and water fall is very close and can be reached by 3 minute walking. The food is healthy and they can cater our preferences.

Guest house familiale dans un immense jardin entretenu (épices, bananiers, fleurs, plantations de thé). Vous êtes en immersion au sein d’une famille sri lankaise tout en ayant votre bungalow privé qui surplombe la maison principale. Vue imprenable sur la forêt primaire de Sinahraja. Les levers de soleil sont époustouflants ! Tout est vert ! La famille est très agréable à l’écoute et serviable. Discussions et échanges très intéressants. On en apprend plus sur la culture et le pays. Nous recommandons à 100% pour une immersion dans la culture et la campagne sri lankaise à proximité de la Rain Forest. La guest gouse peut d’ailleurs organiser les excursions vers la forêt. Nous avons adoré ! NB : protection contre les moustiques recommandée.

Wonderful welcome and hospitality, they helped us with backpacks up through the path to the NMS.. It is an exeptional position in the middle of the forest! We could easly walk to a nearby waterfall together with our lovely host. Meal were good and abundant, satisfaying all our requirements for a no spicy/vegetarian/no onion food! Our host has been incredibly efficient in organizing the hike in sinharaja forest with an entusiasth guide and in booking a driver both to get there and to go away to Galle. We would definitely reccomend it!

The location is just perfect. Near the road and not too far from a village where to buy some foods/drinks. The wooden cabanas are nicely hidden under the rain forest and located within just few meters on top of the river. Despite being close to the road, it s very quiet and with the river/forest view straight from your bed, makes this place a truly gem. The place has AC and hot water (surprisingly working very good), water kettle and plenty of space to leave your stuff. The bed were clean and comfortable. The owner is super reliable in anything you need, treating you amazingly with tasty food and drinks, but also giving you all the privacy you need. The room/bathroom were clean enough and when we decided to extend our stay, we received new bedsheets and towels and a cleaning service. Regarding food we had a very fulfill daily breakfast and super tasty dinners (every day something different) to enjoy on the private balcony/terrace. Overall this is an amazing place so far to enjoy a bit of peaceful, nature and relaxing with the view drinking a cup of tea.
