When researching for a camp, i found myself flooded with options and read millions of reviews. They all seemed very similar and offered the same activities. However, this camp’s perfect reviews, especially the ones about how awesome of a person Rashid is, definitely called my attention. And after staying at this camp, i can 100% agree. Rashid made our experience a thousand times better. He made us feel welcomed from the start, made us laugh like few people do, and didn’t hesitate to answer any question we had about his country and culture. He shared the meals with us, took us to all the activities and made us enjoy them even more. He even went out of his way to show us and make us interact with camels and their babies that were out in the dessert, an experience we will never forget! The tent was huge, with a really comfortable bed and a private bathroom (which not many camps have for what i’ve researched). The food was really really good and just kept coming, even when we were full 😅 There was free water, tea, coffee and fruit available at all times for us. All in all, a great stay, amazing experience and the nicest host. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Oman!

"My sister and I have been in Oman for 2 days in October and we slept in dune camp for 1 night... Since we had so few time we asked Said to help us organizing our trip around in Oman... It was the greatest host ever!! Everything was perfect and organized in details, we have been there for 2 days but it seems like we have stayed there for 1 week for how many things we had the opportunity to do! The camp in the desert was such a beautiful experience, observing the sunrise and sunset on the dunes, eating typical dinner watching the desert's stars and sleeping in tent...Said always cared we were having the best of our time! We are bringing back home lovely memories of a lot of laughs and lot of beautiful places seen! A special thank also to our super driver Zayed, who drove us in several places and always cared as well everything was fine! You guys were the best, thank you for making our trip so special!"

The camp is located not too close from the nearest village, offering an immersive desert experience. The tents are spacious, clean and nicely decorated and so is the dining area. The staff is helpful, kind and efficient and agreeing pick up was really easy. The buffet was generous with a good and tasty selection of food. The camp offers activities like camel riding and dune safari. We enjoyed both very much. The greatest plus of this camp is that, compared to other structures who might have more of a hotel feel, gives the travellers a authentic and close to nature experience. We would go back and we will recommend it to family and friends.

Dinner was delicious and breakfast much beyond our expectations. Service was impeccable and Faiz was extremely attentive, nice and polite. He truly cares for every single guest and makes sure that you have all that you need. He even stopped to show us a couple of baby camels on our way back to town.

The area is popular for walking tours, and car hire is available at the luxury tent. The location is stunning, perfect spot to enjoy the sunset on the dunes and a starry night by the campfire. Hamood and Khalid are the perfect hosts, they make you feel at home and spoil you with good food. Highly recommended!

You can play darts at the luxury tent. Alsarmadi Desert Camp has a children's playground and a picnic area. Great fun driving deep into the desert, the camp is completely on it's own and the scenery of rolling sand dunes is spectacular. The tent is very comfortable, as good as any hotel room. Dinner was lovely. Camel riding great fun, and they had lots of goats, including newborns which they let my daughter bottle feed and hold (she says a highlight of her whole holiday!). The camp is wonderful (so good this is our second visit.)

Oman desert private camp is situated 10 km in the desert at the top of one of the highest dunes at the area.

Its a luxury tent and consist of 2 floors . There is a balcony and a dining table in each tent. Each tent have a private bathroom. That was our first time in Desert camp. We spent 2 nights with pleasure! Amazing team who support you with your every inquiry. Delicious and generous food included. Evening fireplace 🔥 when guests can talk to each other.

Buffet and continental breakfast options with local specialities, pancakes and fruits are available each morning at the luxury tent. We really enjoyed this camp; it's new, clean, and cozy. The food was delicious, and we appreciated the peaceful location, perfect for watching sunsets and stars. Private excursions can be arranged, and we highly recommend the day trip to Wadi Bani Khalid oasis. Thumbs up!
