Breakfast was delicious, room had great size, no hot shower in some rooms but in shared showers yes, so not a problem at all. Tony and his brother are amazing, and Tony gave many advices and suggestions about Jaffna. Staying again there when I visit the city again!

Where do I even begin… Anathan’s place was an oasis, a safe haven for me after I spent a few days in the hectic and chaotic Colombo. From the very first moment that I arrived to the very last minute that I left, I always felt taken care of, spoiled almost, and above everything, I felt at home. In fact, Anathan’s place was so comfortable, so peaceful that it felt almost difficult to get out and explore the town. Obviously a home isn’t a home without its host. And for that, I have to thank Ananthan for going above and beyond to provide me with a comfortable stay. He always made sure that I had enough for breakfast, always asked if I wanted more tea and coffee (and yes, please), and even brought me along to the ceremonies at the Nallur temple where his family and friends were also there, welcoming me with unparalleled warmth and hospitality. Even though I was a solo traveller, I had never felt lonely during the entire stay. Ananthan was always there should I need anything. It brought me great joy and peace just to sit by the patio and listen to the singing of the birds and the rustling of the trees. I was sad that I could not stay longer. And I’d return, time and again.

We really liked Betty’s Cottage and the owners were really nice. They booked our bus from Colombo to Jaffna which was a huge help, and they waited up until 4 am for us to arrive. We had only booked the place for the following night so they charged us half a day. The breakfast offered was fine, nothing to rave about. The WiFi is really good! The hosts are also nice and very dedicated to making sure we got everything we needed.

Malabar Beach Walk, a property with a garden, is located in Jaffna, 11 km from Jaffna Railway Station, 12 km from Jaffna Public Library, as well as 12 km from Jaffna Fort. We liked the place but you do need your own transportation to get there. The accommodation has its own kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 2 beds. We got dinner from the neighbor twice and it was beyond delicious!! The walk to the beach is short. The owners are super friendly and caring, it was a pleasure to stay here. Offering a garden and garden view, Malabar home stay is situated in Jaffna, 3.5 km from Jaffna Railway Station and 4.5 km from Jaffna Public Library. Loved the place and the atmosphere. Rooms were quiet and cosy and the food was fabulous. Located close to many locations in Jaffna where you could easily visit. Host was very friendly and flexible with excellent response times for any help we required.

Facing the seafront in Delft East, Delft Village Stay has free bikes and a garden. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also has a restaurant and a sun terrace. We really enjoyed our stay! Tommy and his family are special, we had a beautiful connection since the begging 😊 Delft Island is an hidden gem out of the touristic route and for us one of the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. What makes the difference is the people, always smiling and welcoming, and ready to help! Tommy's place is simply gorgeous, tents are comfortable and it has everything you need. You can also rent bikes to go around the island and explore. His mom cooked delicious breakfast and dinner for us, and it was the best food we've had 😊 I highly recommend Tommy's place because you can really feel the love he has put to build it. Offering a garden and garden view, Flamingo Villa is set in Jaffna, 100 metres from Jaffna Railway Station and 1.6 km from Jaffna Public Library. The location is very exceptional. The welcome drink was delicious. The room was comfortable. I got a tasty breakfast & dinner. Great location. Staffs are so friendly & helpful( good service ). We had a great stay in jaffna flamingo.
