Authentic Japanese with comfortable beds. Amazing little garden. Very useful to have bikes and to use it for the supermarket or to go omihachiman. It is bigger than it looks in pictures. It has 4 separate rooms and a big kitchen.

The repurposed rooms hallways and dining area are spacious and airy. the breakfast was excellent and local every detail suggested I'd literally time traveled 80 or more years. Staff - attentive and polite. The service exceeds expectations. We were treated like VVIP Location - beautiful landscape and close to convenience shops and Daiso Room - very clean and spacious. The pillows were so comfortable. Our neck pain from the previous hotel's poor bedding went away after our first night stay. They use the maruhachi pipe and feather pillows. The massage service is very reasonably priced and great masseuse. I had sprained ankle for a week and after the massage it almost gone away. Not sure what he did but quite different to remedial massage. Soothing, relaxing, minimal pain with maximal gain. The most relaxing massage I had. Onsen - great. Private onsen available at a cost. Our toddler was a bit upset when we were checking out. The staff gave him a little soft toy. Very nice touch though we don't expect anything from them after the amazing stay . Great souvenir shop featuring local crafts.

Hiei Blue Roof - Vacation STAY 13887 situa-se em Otsu, a 8 km de Templo Enryaku-ji, 8,7 km de Templo de Eikan-do Zenrin-ji e 9,3 km de Shugakuin Imperial Villa. We booked this property with a bit of hesitation as there were very few reviews on booking.com and we didn’t regret it a second! It is in a very peaceful residential area, quiet, restful night’s sleep is guaranteed which was very important to us. The house is warm and cosy as we had a bit of a cold weather it was important. We felt at home and had a great base to explore the city of Kyoto, Otsu and all the surrounding area. There’s everything you would need in a household and more. There’s also a nice garden which we couldn’t use due to the cold weather. The owner is a very sweet attentive lady and a great host who took care of every single need of us, so that we felt like staying in a friend’s house. With or without car this accommodation is a great choice to escape the crowds of Kyoto and yet be in 25 min distance to downtown Kyoto. We stayed there for 10 days and explored the whole area. I cannot recommend Sayo’s place enough! I would love to come again sometime.

I liked the ricefields, the Biwa-Sea, the Mountains and the special spezies of the Mammut trees. ・The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. It is a big house very nice equipped, there is a big kitchen with all you need. There are nice flowers and the linen of the beds is so soft. I felt like at home. And I enjoyed the bath. I recommand very much to stay in this wonderful house with this wonderful family. I would really like to come back one day.

Guesthouse Shin situa-se em Omihachiman, a 37 km de Templo Enryaku-ji e a 38 km de Templo Sanzen-in. My wife and I are not young folks anymore. The trip to the bathroom during the night was somewhat difficult for us. The bedroom was on the upper floor in the lovely traditional Japanese house. The narrow stairway was challenging for us. There is ample room downstairs and perhaps owners would accommodate a request to put the bedding there.
