Kathleen was the nicest person with us, she made us feel at home. The house is gorgeous and really nicely put with lovely decoration. You can see how much effort Kathleen has put to make it pretty, cozy, tidy and clean. The surroundings are beautiful and quiet. It is only 12 min away by car to Adare which is a lovely village. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was wonderful. The breakfast is the best that we have had in Ireland, really varied and delicious. Her home made bread was the best. We hope to come back again sometime!

I had a ton of luggage which made transportation to my next accommodation super difficult but the receptionists not only arranged for a local taxi (which was cheaper than the city taxi rates) transport me but also arranged an earlier check in time with my accommodation. She’s awesome.

Ballycannon Lodge is family-run accommodation offering guests a friendly, homely and comfortable atmosphere, modern surroundings and reasonably priced accommodation. Great place to stay and only a few minutes drive to Adare. Very large and clean room. Fit our family comfortably. Amazing host who was very kind and even gave us an adapter because we forgot ours. The cafe next door for breakfast was excellent!
