Ike-san was such a friendly and caring host who made sure that I was taken care of from our first moment of contact to check out. The room was extremely comfortable and provided all the necessary amenities for lodgers or even hikers travelling on bare essentials (there's a hairdryer thank goodness!!), the bathroom was clean and made for a wonderful soak at the end of a hard hike, and Ike-san went out of his way to ensure my comfort and convenience - from giving me a lift to the nearby eatery when I ran out of dinner options to generously gifting me a poncho before I set off for my hike in the rain. I'd also like to mention that his place is literally next to the Chikatsuyu-oji marker on the Kumano Kodo trail for those who are making this a rest stop on their hike. Thank you for the hospitality!!

We stayed multiple nights and it was easy to take busses to do day hikes from here. At the time of year we were here (April) we could hear frogs from our room at night.

The house has multiple bedrooms, each with its own sink and toilet! The living room and kitchen are very well-equipped, and the barbeque stove outside is very easy to use. My friends and I had the best stay and great rest.
