We liked the location near the pedestrian boulevard, the parking lot is across the street but you have to add time/money 2h at a time to get the best rate, then it is free at night. The place was very clean and organized, we had no issues with our stay.

The apartment is very well located. Just within 10 min of very pleasant walk through a nice boulevard from the Tours train station. No need to take a taxi if arriving by train, even if travelling with lots of luggage - can easily reach the apartment on foot. Pascale, the host was waiting for us outside the property (we informed her of our arrival time in advance) and recognised us by calling our names. The apartment is very clean and kitchen has everything needed for cooking. Breakfast from the host included eggs, butter, bread, apple juice, water, tea, coffee capsules, and even home-made jam!!! Everything was nicely prepared and taken care of! Great view from the dining table overlooking Tours. Carrefour and boulangerie are within 5-10 min walk. The historic centre and shops are also within 10 min walk. Tours is a great base town for exploring Val de Loire castles and a great town!

Wonderful and plentiful breakfast with home made cakes, jam etc. So much choice we needed no lunch. Walk into town takes 20 minutes, but uphill coming back. Tram service to town means no need to take car.

La Maison Jules was a lovely B&B close to the train station on a quiet street. Also close to the cathedral and the Musée des Beaux Arts. Alexandra was so helpful. Her made to order breakfasts were fabulous. Some of the other (French) guests and Alaxandra even helped me with my bad French!!! The decor is eclectic with an excellent private bathroom. I loved my stay there as well as Tours. I’d definitely stay here again.

Upstairs: 2 bedrooms with soft and comfortable king size beds and 2 singles. This home is not recommended for young children. Luckily no large ugly tv screen to spoil the rustic/arty atmosphere in this interior. Small kitchen bench, but who cooks when there are so many restaurants closely, 15 min walk. Marie the owner lives in the main house and can give info about the environment or supply any additional things you might possibly want, with a smile!
