What an amazing place to stay! Not only the room looked like a Pinterest picture with its coziness and fireplace next to the comfy bed, but also the owner was a great person you instantly feel you could befriend and moreover - it turned out that she is a local guide! Knowledgeable and a great story teller. In the evening you have a balcony where we sipped Albanian wine observing the storm, in the morning had a breakfast in the garden. Everything was new and clean. Perfect holidays.

There was a fridge and a nice balcony. Simple and clean. Minutes walk to the village, market, and restaurants. Value for money was very good. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated and has a lot of charm. The attached bar is also beautifully designed and decorated and lovely to sit and have a drink at. The breakfast included with the room was spectacular. We have done a lot of travelling in Albania and this was the best breakfast we have had! A huge variety of traditional dishes and pillowy soft petulla. We loved our stay at Vila Helen and were lucky to have fresh snow to play in.

It had everything we needed for our stay! The entrance of the property was so nice and peaceful! The breakfast was the best breakfast I have had in Albania! The staff was so nice and welcoming, something you can never find in the states. For the price we paid, this place was way beyond our expectations! Can’t recommend it enough! We will definitely come back when we visit Albania again!

The room was very spacious, I appreciate that we even had a little desk for working on laptop, the location was so quiet, all I heard was the horses’ bells on the hill. It was only 10 minutes distance from the village center which is a wonder. They also have a very good restaurant, all the food is made in the house, the bread, the butter, everything. The room was spacious, it was simply but tastefully decorated, it had a large bathroom with warm shower and strong water pressure. Check in and check out was fast and efficient. Even though we checked out, they allowed us to keep our stuff in a room until our departure from Voskopoje. Also, Vila Mata is in the village, so walking distance from everything.

In the past, I might have asked why anyone staying in Voskopoja, of all places, would want a jacuzzi in the room, but I now understand that this was a misguided mindset. This room is huge, and a splurge for the area, but the ambience is extremely cozy, with a fireplace, lots of rugs, lots of pillows, etc. Very near the center of the village, friendly staff, and the breakfast was first-rate too.
