The hosts were super nice and helpful. There was a delicious breakfast in the mornings with homemade items such as yogurt, jams and cake to go along with the other breakfast items. Coffee and cake were available throughout the day. There was labeled spaces in the fridge to leave your items and then kitchen had all of the cooking items you would need. The rooms were nice with a little balcony and great view of Mount Pico. Great location on the island.

Situated in Horta, Manta Ray Lodge provides free WiFi throughout the property. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. Very clean and wonderful accommodations within a few minutes of harbor/many restaurant choices. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Located 600 metres from the small island airport, Quinta das Buganvílias is surrounded by a large park with lush vegetation. everything was perfect, the views, the people, the breakfast, the room. will definitely be staying here again. Prices for this hotel are so cheap i could not believe what i got for only £50

The property is a house overlooking the beach, the rooms themselves don't have the oceanview per se but have access to a terrace that does. It was clean and the lady who runs it, Alice, is very nice. Location is also very close to the center of town and nice restaurants and right behind a hiking trail along with the whaling/whale oil museum.

Faial Cottage B&B is situated in Cedros and offers a kitchenette, a terrace. The property has panoramic ocean views as well as garden views and is 12 km from Horta. Beautiful property, great views over the sea and landscape, very comfortable bed! Hosts were so accommodating and caring and the daily breakfasts perfect! Extra nice touches, like wildflowers in the kitchen and bathroom, helped make it extra special!

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in 45 years of travel. Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!

Located 1 km from the centre of Horta, Vila Odette offers a garden boasting views of the sea and mountain. Free WiFi is available and free private parking is available on site. wonderful view, great place to stay
