Special care was taken for the enjoyment of the our teenagers. We stayed in a family room, the room was just right for our needs and the balcony had stunningl view of the lake. The train service stopped due to land slide and we faced difficulty in reaching and leaving Varenna. Difficult to catch a taxi to leave Varenna to Lecco for onward train to Milano. Laura was kind enough to order a taxi for us. Clean and quiet room. Excellently located very close to the pier - good when raining.

A good location for a stress-free holiday in Mandello del Lario, Picobello Lago is a guest house surrounded by views of the mountain. The host was really helpful, she even send us some places to go for food and full instructions for check in. She offered us a welcome drink and some snacks. Also the view was amazing, you could see the mountain and it was pretty close to the train station and the lake. It is a very quiet neighborhood and we felt very safe every hour of the day. I would definately recommend it to spend vacation there!
