This is a big charming, wooden house unlike anything else we saw in Bukit Lawang. It’s beautiful and has a lot of character. The location is great, up many stairs but it’s worth it. Close to nearby restaurants and ‘Jack’s Bar’ which we loved for live music and awesome cocktails in a real jungle setting. The staff are so lovely and helped us with everything we needed, they organised a trek into the jungle for us and a day trip to their conservation site where we saw lots of orangutans. Banana pancakes for breakfast were so delicious too, thank you Ridho! Highly recommend staying here!

We love everything about this place. It's our second visit and I would come back anytime. The location is spectacular and the views from the room are amazing. Such a haven of peace and quiet. You can cool down in the river just in front of the property. The jungle trek is highly recommended. Such a beautiful rainforest and seeing orangutans up close in their natural habitat is certainly very memorable. The staff is also great and helpful. Rizky always smiles, Julie always happy to help, Arif always ready to show you the treasures of the jungle. If I remembered all the names, I would list them here too. The room is comfortable and as described. This place really is a gem!

Jhonny and his family/crew are some of the warmest genuine people I have ever met, their level of customer service goes beyond anything I have ever experienced. Nothing was any problem and if there were any issues they were addressed immediately. The crew will look after all you needs from cooking delicious breakfasts to fabulous local lunch's and dinners from the extensive menu. The organised tours be it trekking/bat caves/local village tours are first rate, with a huge special mention to my "Jungle Brother" Rasta, who is not only a knowledgeable and great guide, but a fantastic and witty bloke and we shall remain friends via social media until our return. The accommodation is 5 stand alone huts which contain everything you need and a food/bar area, on three occasions in the week we were there an Orangutan dropped by for a visit (mind blowing) not to mention the 8+ we saw during our day trek with Rasta. 1.Hujan deras jadi blum bisa pulang, so duduk2 di gazebo, langsung di off kn wify nya karena mungkin kami bukan tamu lagi 2. Dari ujung kamar yg lain pmilik teriak untuk matikan lampu teras kami, sklipun belum malam hak kami dong, nyalakan lampu apalagi kami berada diluar semua untuk ambil2 fhoto, 3. Sangat membeda2kan orang yg mnginap, waktu dtang senyum pun tidak, menjawabnya pun sambil2an, di waktu yg sama ibu lain yg mau masuk nlfon dijawab dg santun sekali dan dijanjikan dijmput

Alek and Nabil are really great hosts who are Bukit Lawang's second best feature after the orangutans! The balcony has a lovely view out over the river and the location is perfect in amongst the locals.
