All the stores were closed already, but a welcome treat was waiting for us, so we had some toast and biscuits for the next morning. The flat is perfectly located, close to the main bars and restaurants and a grocery store. Also, there is free parking that is 1 minute away. We were staying in Flat 1.

This apartment features 2 bedrooms, a kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, a flat-screen TV, a seating area and 1 bathroom fitted with a bath. Towels and bed linen are available in the apartment. The accommodation offers a fireplace. I can't recommend this property highly enough. It is in an excellent location at the end of the quayside in Stornoway within walking distance of just about anything you would need. It is also just a 3 minute drive from the ferry terminal. The apartment opens onto an inner courtyard with parking. One flight of stairs leads up from the courtyard to the apartment door. The property itself is exceptionally well equipped, particularly the kitchen. I only used the one double bed but it was really comfortable. Communication with the host (Fiona) was excellent before and during the stay. She went out of her way to deal with a schedule change that was imposed on me by an airline. I would definitely put this property at the top of the list for consideration in any future visits to Stornoway.

Our host Shona was very welcoming, kind and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The house had everything you need for a perfect stay. The location was great for us as we have relatives in the area.

It was a welcoming space, where even the smallest details had been considered. There was plenty of space to spread out through the apartment. The kitchen was SO clean, and had everything we needed, including a washing machine. The property owner also provided a drying rack. In addition, they had provided fresh bread and milk, and another treat in the fridge! It was such a lovely touch. It was a short drive into town, but more importantly, a well placed base to explore the Isle of Lewis. Parking space provided. I wish we had been able to stay longer.
