Strasbourg struck me as a vibrant city with many young people and many nationalities.
I found it easy to walk around the city and appreciated the many different styles of architecture.
There was no outstanding museum or building, but the overall impression was good.

The history of the city of Strasbourg was never ending!
The history of the city of Strasbourg was never ending! The old buildings, the beautiful views as well as the very helpful and friendly shop owners and citizens ensures that we will return to Strasbourg. We stayed at Hotel Gutenberg (right around the corner from Notre Dame) and very close to restaurants and shops.

One of the best places I have been to.
One of the best places I have been to. Notre dame is a must visit. Take in the beauty of the canals and stroll by.
There are boats plying on the canal. Don’t take them. Walk is the best. People are very friendly. Beer is good.

Strasbourg is a lovely city any time of the year.
Strasbourg is a lovely city any time of the year. I am not a big fan of Christmas markets, but the one in Strasbourg is one of the oldest ones in Europe. The city is not too big, it is worth walking around, having a coffee or lunch on one of the terraces in Petite France or taking a boat trip on the canals. The tower of the cathedral gives an amazing view of the city.

I have fallen in love with this city but the best part is where I'm from people barely know about it and when I'm showing them the pictures they are in shock! :>
I was getting there right after day in Venice, here are some comparisons:
Strasbourg and Venice have great cuisine.
Both cities can be called City of bridges - Strasburg have river ILL through the centre of the city and Rhine by side
Venice smells (dump water) but Strasbourg is not.
Venice buildings are falling apart, but Strasbourg are not.
Strasbourg have very friendly people, Venice.. depends.
I will definitely go back to Strasbourg.
We loved this hotel - it was so charming with lots of character, wood details, modern bathrooms, comfy beds, etc. Some of the reviews said that the hotel was maybe a little old or run-down, but we didn't find that at all!! It was clean, the rooms were large, and we slept great. Location couldn't be better, right in between the Cathedral and La Petite France. It was a little expensive, but we were staying in the heart of Strasbourg during the opening weekend of the Christmas markets, so I suppose that's to be expected!
The location was perfect. Just on the edge of the beautiful petite France area of Strasbourg, so you're really well placed for sightseeing and exploring. The breakfast was also amazing. Lots of options including all the usual continental breads, cheeses and meats as well as bacon, eggs and lots of fruit/cereal options. Loved the freshly squeezed orange juice too. The bathroom in our hotel room was also lovely - really spacious and light. Our room was comfortable but pretty basic. All in all, it was a great one night stay!
The hotel was not too far from the main attractions of Strasbourg - very close to the Contemporary Art gallery and just a short walk to the shops and Christmas markets in the city centre. We loved our room - it was clean, well equipped, really quiet, sufficiently heated and the bed was really comfy. Breakfast was tasty too and set us up for the day. We were also really impressed with the care we received from all of the staff. All in all, a very friendly, well appointed hotel and a very enjoyable stay.
We stayed three nights at the Comfort Hotel in Strasbourg. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was a little ways from the city centre but we enjoyed the walk - less than half an hour. There was also a bus loop close by with transit options for travelling to the city centre. We ate breakfast at the hotel and the quality and selection were excellent!! We would definitely recommend this hotel! Thanks!!
This is a beautiful hotel in the centre of Strasbourg, we arrived early but that was not a problem they parked our car and kept our bags to place in our room later. The hotel is around a 6 minute walk from le petit France. There are also nice bars and restaurants in the area. The spa was lovely. The room was very large and the bed super comfortable. I would recommend for anyone who wants to treat themselves while in Strasbourg.
Great location in the middle of Petite France. Good room size. Very friendly staff. Front desk was small which surprised me. Good parking facilities for which you have to pay but it is the middle of petite France so no complaints at all. Toilets are separated from the bathrooms. Some might like that some might not. Overall a really good experience in this authentic and beautiful hotel. Highly recommended therefore.
The location was great! Just a 2 minute walk from the train station. The hotel is right on a main street with restaurants, bars, grocery stores, shopping, etc. We walked to the Cathedrale and Petite France. The front desk staff was very nice and as a bonus spoke English. The room wasn't fancy but it had everything we needed and was comfortable. And two big, beautiful windows overlooking the street below.
The location is absolutely ideal. I had only a day to stay in Strasbourg. This accommodation made it possible for me to see many sites and enjoy many activities in a brief visit. It is a fairly short walk to the train station, as well as La Petite France, the Cathedral de Notre-Dame, and other attractive places. The facilities were modest but reasonably comfortable, and very affordable.
We were on our way to Switzerland and searched for a hotel nearby for the night. The Marriott Strasbourg was truly a marble, it has very modern, clean and luxurious rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated next to the European Parliament, so a bit further located from the centre but in a quiet neighbourhood.
The location was excellent, in the historic center of Strasbourg. All the main public transport lines are located close to the hotel. Gare du Strasbourg is reachable by walking, 10 minutes. The hotel was clean and cosy. A little bit expensive, but I think a mix of the location and the period (christmas time).
the location was a 5 min walk off the cathedral which was ideal. The room was spacious, the bathroom clean, the shower very spacious and comfortable. the staff was perfect: pleasant, available, efficient and kind. We had a great stay in Strasbourg and the Hotel was truly the reason for it.
The property was so lovely, the hotel and staff were superb and so obliging BUT I DO FEEL BOOKING .com could have been much more upfront and transparent about the parking situation before you book , as Strasbourg hate cars , not great for a travelling holiday
Great location near Gare de Strasbourg and very close to city center. Stilish rooms and super clean hotel overall. I liked that we managed to rent our bikes directly from the hotel and they were almost new, worked perfectly for us.
everything! wow, what an amazing hotel! value for money, carefully decorated, and with a fantastic breakfast spread. close to petite france and the train station and with very friendly staff. highly recommended!
clean, comfortable, beautiful hotel
you are right in the heart of Strasbourg yet it was quiet enough to have our window open at night - great staff and facilities - best hotel we stayed in at that price point
The location was great - an easy flat 20 minutes cycle ride into Strasbourg centre petite France. The air conditioning was great in the 41 degrees heat that we had. It was clean and everything functional.
Excellent location! Close to all attractions! Wish there were more Happy Culture hotels throughout Europe! To my knowledge they are in France and Germany only!
