A wonderful secluded villa near the centre of Montbéliard , a wonderful garden and terrace, and a terrific spacious room with bath and all amenities one might need. The host makes you feel as if you were the king of France. Staying here makes you feel reborn! Have dinner here, because you will be getting a royal treatment. I loved it and will surely be back here whenever in the region (or even make a detour just to stay here).

Everything here works slowly, breakfast is basically prepared on the moment and consists on bread with different spreads, a piece of local cheese and coffee. It does not follow modern standards of hotel service but I find that to be part of the charm. One must not expect a hotel in the traditional sense of the word, this is more like an inn in a Lord of the rings movie.

They are in the process of remodeling, and once done it looks like this will be a very nice hotel. The room was good sized, clean, and bathroom newly remodeled. Breakfast was ok, not a lot to choose from. There is a nice outdoor area with a table and chairs to sit in.

The self check in was very easy and comfortable. It was great to also have free parking right by the hotel as we were traveling by car on our way to Spain. We visited the Christmas Market - recommend this as there’s a great food market there as well as lots of stalls all over the town. We didn’t eat at the hotel so cannot comment regards food
