Lovely old town centre and especially the cathedral.
Lovely old town centre and especially the cathedral. Well worth a look around. Nice cafes. Parking was initially a problem as large town centre car park ticket machines did not work. We got a side street machine which worked fine.

Amiens is a small city, and perfect for walking.
Amiens is a small city, and perfect for walking. The cathedral in particular, is spectacular, but it's not the only place of interest in, or around, the town. St Leu, and Les Hortillonnages, plus Le Jardin des Plantes, are well worth visiting and, of course, many of the WW1 sites are within very easy reach, by car.

We rented a car in Amiens to tour the World War 1 battlefields. The staff at the tourist office was very helpful and gave a booklet in English.
The cathedral is worth a visit. It is spectacular on the inside and outside!
Great restaurants with outdoor seating!
Not only an excellent LOCATION from which to visit the Somme battlefield, Amiens itself was interesting- the hortillonage, the cathedral (fascinating tympanum), and some lovely restaurants. We spent 2 nights at the Priory which is wonderfully positioned, just steps from the cathedral, and with parking close by. The hotel, and our room, fully met our expectations. The staff were very helpful before and during our stay. We would happily return, and would recommend.
The furnishing of the property was lovely, very stylish and felt homely as well. All the bedrooms were a very good size and clean.
The hosts made the stay, although we self checked in, the communication from the hosts was amazing. They were so lovely and welcoming, an absolute delight. We have spent two weeks travelling round France and came across this property and it’s safe to say the hosts were by far the nicest people we had come across.
Perfectly comfortable stay, without any luxury. The room has the basics, nothing more. I found bed to be very comfortable, even more so than much more upscale properties elsewhere. Breakfast has very tasty croissants. The internet was reasonably fast and easy to connect to. The location is ideal for people commuting in and out of Amiens with their own vehicle who don't mind driving/parking downtown for the city's own attractions. Great price.
The location was pretty convenient. We were able to walk to restaurants & shopping without a problem. Our room was a nice size for two people and we appreciated the separate toilet from the bathroom. Breakfast offered many options.
The bar was open later which helped us with a late-night snack. The staff was terrific, helping us with printing itineraries and arranging taxis to the train. Best of all, it was air conditioned!
The hotel is in a beautiful old townhouse, just a couple of blocks away from the historic centre. Our two-bedroom suite was ideal for our family, with plenty of space for our stay. The kitchenette was very well equipped, and the spa bath was a big hit! The accommodation was clean, bright and very comfortable. And the breakfast was very nicely presented and tasty. The hotel is in a great location in Amiens.
From the outside, the hotel actually looks a bit like the odd hotel in the neighbourhood of the central station. The entrance is inside the foyer of a big shopping centre ( not very attractive)….BUT THE HOTEL IS REALLY NICE, CLEAN and the STAFF IS SUPER FRIENDLY!
I would like to recommend this place for a stopover! The breakfast was included and really good!
Amelie and her family made us very welcome in this beautiful century old hotel, lovingly restored. Amelie gave us good advice on what to see , and where to eat on the quay. The cathedral towers over the property in Rue Robert de Luzarches, named after the architect who designed this epic building. We left after a lovely breakfast served by Amelie
Friendly staff, clean rooms, safe storage for our mountain bikes inside, nice breakfast in the morning (small extra fee), and a dog who was allowed to come with us (small extra fee). We even managed to park our car right in front of the hotel for free, which gave us a little extra confidence in its safety. Overall, an excellent place!
We were upgraded to a Privilege Room at no extra cost which had a wonderful vie of the Cathedral.
The location of the hotel is fairly central so it was very easy to see the sites of Amiens
We ate in the hotel restaurant and both the evening meal and breakfast were very good.
Hotel is ideally located if you are travelling to/from UK, I've used this hotel a few times when travelling back through France as a stopover before getting the Eurotunnel back to the UK. It is on the outskirts of Amiens just as you come off the motorway.
The hotel was comfortable and fun. the location is perfectly in the center of the city center. The cathedral snd Quartier St Leu are 10 min walk. The staff was lovely. Parking is right is in underground level so very convenient. Highly recommended.
Everything was amazing, at THE HEART of Amiens indeed, in the much coveted St. Leu quarters, absolutely splendid place, squeaky clean, modern interiors in a classic vintage house, top top class.
Very nice and welcoming hosts, bless them❤️
The location is great. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is just a 3 minutes away from the main train station in Amiens.
The breakfast is small but nice. I was able to store my luggage after checkout until 7 p.m.
The amazing Armien Gothic cathedral, five minutes walk away, surely one of best in France, the canals, bridges, graffiti and host Sylvie, who was fabulous also.
