It's a beautiful, historic city, with fantastic local restaurants and cafes, stunning parks, and very clean and quiet. My favourite thing about the old town is that it's all cobblestones and austrian-style buildings with no car access. Perfect to walk around in. Even the streets by larger roads feel quiet, and it's so picturesque and green, it's wonderful to walk in.

Great old town and very nice small castle.
Great old town and very nice small castle. Good for walks, sitting in cafes, reading books, going to restaurants, visiting the cinema and going to small bars.
Not at all overcrowded by tourists (in late September) from various countries.
Very nice place to travel to.

This is a great day trip from Zagreb that is easily booked by bus. The old town core is well maintained and has significant architecture, charming terraces and cafes, and can be nicely covered in 1-2 days if you’d like to enjoy an overnight as I did.

Varazdin is a beautiful small town.
Varazdin is a beautiful small town. The appartment is situated in the ground floor with one main living room (and entrance hall) with kitchen, sleeping room, bathroom and wc. It is very comfortable with a lovely backyard. You can use a table with chairs outside, however, you must tolerate people coming to a small shop on the opposite side of your door. They are not many. The owners are very kind and willing to help.

It is a small town but very nice, with cozy atmosphere and peaceful streets. People are friendly and easy to talk to. Everything is very clean. They respect nature and have beautiful forests, lakes and mountains around the town, with castles to visit. Restaurants have a wide variety of menus, good food.

A beautiful city with hardly any tourists!
A beautiful city with hardly any tourists! Truly a hidden gem. We went in august, when the beaches were full. In Varazdin, there was hardly anyone!
Beautiful castles, country side, and rock climbing.
Nicely located in the center of Varaždin. This could however be a problem if arriving with a car during working hours and trying to find a parking lot. Apartment has all the necessary amenities one should need for a short pleasant stay. Owner left a chocolate biscuits on the towel which was nice. There was also a welcoming homemade fruit liquor on the table. In front of the apartment there was a little porch with a table where one can enjoy a drink or a coffee.
On a way from Croatian coast to our home in Bratislava, Slovakia we wanted to see a beautiful old town Varazdin and decided to try something different from a hotel accommodation. We were very nicely surprised with a comfortable, extremely clean and well-equipped apartment. Great quality for a reasonable price. Nice owners welcomed us with a warm Croatian hospitality, offered a home-made cake, wine and beverages in a fridge.
Varazdin is a small town located very close to Slovenian and Hungarian border. The hotel has a very good location, 5-10 minutes walk to the city center and Old Town. It is a good choice for 1-night stay in travelling to/from the Croatian coast. The room was small, but air-conditioned and internet access. There is hotel parking included in the room price. The breakfast was very good with a variety of choice.
Beautifully renovated hotel in the city center of Varazdin with an amazing spa area where you´ll truly rest during your stay. One of the best places I have ever stayed at. The restaurant is amazing. The personnel is willing to help with any requirements you might have. Nearby there is a shopping area (talking by car distance) and also have good access to the highway to Zagreb (was commuting daily).
We had a stop for one night on the way from the south of Croatia. We spent the time in an apartment together with two families. Four adults and four children. The apartment was comfortable with a bathroom and a kitchen. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. It was also an opportunity to see Varaždin because the center is not far away.
Very nice spacious apartment with lots of natural light, close to the city center. There is a bakery, two markets and a few cafes around the apartment which is great in my opinion and also free parking with lots of space. The host was very hospitable and all in all I would recommend Anita apartments to everyone.
We stayed one single night as transit towards the Adriatic sea. The apartment was a perfect choice for one night stay (good value for money). We found a parking place right in the front of the building. There are shops and a money exchange office nearby. The nice old center is quite close, we could walk there.
The hotel room was exactly as advertised, and incredibly comfortable. Food at the hotel restaurant was also delicious, and not too expensive despite the quality. Also, photos make the portions look small, but we weren't able to finish all our food. Finally, the staff spoke amazing English and were great.
The apartment has it's own atmosphere and potential. A free parking was easy to find in close area, even we came very late. There were plenty towels to use. I really like the bedroom where I slept. The bed was comfortable. It's also quite close to the city.
The house is located not far from the town Varaždin and coveniently accessible from the motorway. We were pleased by a nice terrace and kids had nice play in the garden. Would definitely use the opportunity to stay in the future.
The apartment is spacious and clean. Located near the city centre and well suitable for two people.
Parking is available around the building and it's free of charge. I would definitely choose this place for my next visit.
Close to the city center. Delicious breakfast, tidy room, very clean. The owner very helpful on each stage of my staying. Private parking. The supermarket and ATMs few minutes of walk from the hotel.
