So many things to see on day trips from the area: Ephesus, Pamukkale and Hieropolis, Cesme, etc. What's left of old part of town is worth a visit as are the remains of the ancient Greco-Roman town (though a lot is currently closed off). Much of the city by the water is 'new' because of the destruction of the 1922 fire, which is sad. But a great experience overall (even the taxi drivers are nice and honest, and the weather was much better than in Istanbul). Definitely want to go back.

We where on the family vacation so we were easy going!
We where on the family vacation so we were easy going! It was too hot, so we were walking late afternoons and evenings. We were on a good position - The Marriott Hotel, so we manage to se all important sites like the Clock Tower . Kemerlati, Agora, and other places near by as well as to have long walks on the lungomare- there is a promenade along the entire city along the coast, there is a lots of green spaces please where people enjoyed siting, talking,
Are main goal was to se Ephesus site, so-called The Virgin Mary House, Siringe Village - it was magnificent!
In all places were we had a chance or we choose to eat - either in the restaurants on the cost in the city, or in the mall, or in the place like Siringe Village food was delicious!

Unfortunately, my expectations from the city were higher.
Unfortunately, my expectations from the city were higher. I've chosen a wrong area to stay in (Konak) and it was dirty and not safe. The sea was very dirty, not clean city at all with lots of smell
The welcome from the manager and hotel staff was amazing :) So so helpful for everything I needed, and loved me asking questions about Turkey and what to do, where to go, best places to eat, and how to save money. Would stay there again any day, and would recommend anyone to go, because the price for what you get was one of the best i've stayed while traveling the world. Also 'GET A IZMIR METRO CARD' as soon as you get there, trust me. They sell in most corner shops around Izmir city centre.
This accommodation was nice and staff was very pleasant. I am not going find otherwise hotel in Izmir in future, Hyatt Regency is perfect. Note For the hotel guests- make a time for the breakfast one hour is the minimum. The breakfast was amazing. The room is nice very clean comfortable and space. The bed is very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower is good and bathroom is nice too. The room is quiet, you will nothing heard.
Very large ultra modern room (Superior Double rm with Sea View, 548 sq ft ,I believe Rm #209) for 209 Euros on second floor facing waterfront promenade therefore heard a little noise (not a problem) at bedtime from the waterfront promenade. Had to leave at 6:30 AM so hotel packed breakfast to go. 5 minute walk to pier with many restaurants and also close to other attractions. I will go back to this hotel next time in Izmir.
I lived here for two weeks. This is a great place especially if you are visiting Izmir for the first time. The rooms are cozy and clean. The location is excellent, in the very center of Alsancak, not far from the promenade and the sea.
But the best part is the people who work here. I have not met such kind people for a long time. Very special thanks goes to Erkut. I am very glad that I chose this hotel.
The location is EXCELLENT !
2 min walk to metro and train stations. The hotel is located close to many restaurants, fast food, fairy station, the corniche and all what’s needed for a good stay in Izmir.
We enjoyed our walks in Alsancak streets safely and the ambiance was amazing.
The staff were helpful as well.
From the airport, you can take the train directly to Alsancak where the hotel is located.
The rooms look even better than shown in the pictures. It was an amazing hotel with clean and perfect rooms. The washrooms and shower were so good. The staff of the hotel was really nice and helpful. As for the location, it’s close to almost every one of Izmir’s landmarks. You can walk to Alsancak, kardonboyu, Kemaralti market, Konak Square, etc. 10/10 for me in every aspect.
The hotel is well situated if you enjoy walking along the bay. Plenty of restaurants in the district. The staff is helpful though only limited English but enough staff that are fluent in English to make it pleasant. The restaurant is very pleasant. The breakfast area has breath taking views of the Izmir Bay and is very spacious and pleasant tried in late summer and winter.
I am a woman and I traveled alone to Izmir for a surgery. The only positive thing about this hotel is the very friendly and welcoming staff, especially Mr. Emrah Erhen, really professional and always ready to help me during my difficult days post op. Thanks especially to him and few others I could feel more comfortable.
We like the location & area. We always come to Izmir for shopping in the old bazar and visiting some close friends we have in Izmir for more than 20 years.
Emen’s Hotel is a pretty new hotel where we stayed the second - and for sure not the last - time.
Clean hotel, cozy rooms and very comfortable beds.
The hotel and facilities are truly 5 Star. The room was spacious, well appointed and quiet. The common areas, restaurant and Spa are well presented with very friendly and helpful staff.
We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.
Very good hotel. The location is good, the stuff was very nice and helpful.
Clean and big rooms, great price according to the rooms.
Will definitely stay there again if i come back to Izmir.
Adnan is a good guy!
Great hotel. Great location and superb facilities. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. From booking tours to places to eat . Best breakfast in any hotel I stayed in and I’m been traveling for over 50 years.
Great location in Alkansac. The staff at the hotel spoke a bit of English and were very easy to deal with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and if in Izmir we would definitely stay there again
The staff are very helpful, polite and professional. The location is excellent with the hotel being directly on the beach. The food was delicious and varied.
