The ancient city of Deià is charming with spectacular acces to one of mallorcas most beautiful coves. We loved our stay here, but it is a quiet town with only a few restaurants. The Wednesday market in the square is also tiny. i was expecting a larger market from the reviews and was disappointed there wasn’t more to look around at. The town itself is so beautiful and ancient, it almost feels like a movie set. the people are super friendly. We encountered many locals who knew five languages but only had a little english, so be prepared with a translator app and if you have a little french. most people know that, or german but you won’t have 100% guarantee that you will be able to communicate if you don’t have the basics of spanish. even so, you would get by fine as the locals will work with you until you understand each other.

Easy public bus service to Palma, Valldemossa, Sóller and Port Sóller. A good handful of nice restaurants and a couple of bars. Would improve with a takeaway and sandwich shop but there is a supermarket which is open until late.
Trattoria Italiano, Xelini and Es Punt are my favourite restaurants but there are other more upmarket restaurants that are nice such as Restaurant Deia and Sa Vinya. Haven’t tried Sebastian but is said to be nice for a special meal out. Best bar is Sa Fonda - very cool and casual.
It is a 10 minute walk to Robert Graves house museum and a 25 minute walk down to the Cala.
Valldemossa is pretty but quite touristy, Sóller is lovely for lunch and Port Sóller is a nice resort by the sea & beach. Thanks the orange train from Sóller to Palma is wonderful or down to the Port from Sóller.

Having first visited Deia over 30 years ago I was saddened by the changes. During the day this small hill village is packed with tourists and traffic. There are lots of small cafes and restaurants to keep everyone fed and watered but the pavements are narrow and the number of people don’t make for a relaxing visit. I’m afraid it has lost it’s charm.

Deia is one of the prettiest places I have ever been, definitely a hidden gem of Spain that I don't think many people associate with Mallorca. The buildings are exquisite, the tranquility soothing and the hotels 5 star!

The ambience of a small village but with superb shops and restaurants. Having previously lived in Deia the steps and hills one had to negotiate were not a surprise but for those visiting Deia for the first time it may be a bit of a shock. And those folks with mobility issues, Deia can be a challenge. A fabulous place that draws you back and gets in your soul.

There is a very pleasant hotel with lovely staff down in Deia itself. We would recommend Hotel D'es Puig. A great walk to the beach itself but that was really crowded. The Robert Graves House/Museum/Garden was stunning last time we visited. The work of Artist Alan Hydes at La Residencia, Deia is inspirational. DEE Diana Cosford
We loved everything about our stay here. Easy and quick check-in process, our rooms were cozy with comfy king size bed, the bathroom was clean and one of our rooms also had a balcony from where we enjoyed amazing views of the mountains around Deia. Also loved our hotel pool and breakfast was great with many options. Another great thing is that they have private parking lot for hotel guests which is handy because parking in Deia can be challenging. I would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Thank you for having us!
Spectacular setting - The hotel is located in the charming & historic village of Deia and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains as well as the closeby coastlines.
Fantastic service - The staff were both extremel attentive and approachable at all times, the service and F&B quality was impeccable, and everyone generally went above and beyond to accomodate our wishes. A special thanks to Alex and the entire estaff at El Olivo for the memorable dinners we had there.
The fact that this is called a Hostel suggests that this is very basic accommodation. In fact, the rooms are in a beautiful old style Mallorcan house. Our twin room (room e) had a terrace and had a beautiful view of Deia. The staff were welcoming and lovely and the hotel was comfortable and had everything we needed. Perhaps a fridge would have been useful but other than than, we found the whole stay delightful and would highly recommend this wonderful place.
From arrival to check out, we loved every moment at Sa Pedrissa. Stunning views and beautiful landscape indeed. Staffs looked after us so well. Everyone was so friendly and caring. Excellent food options and quality for such a boutique hotel. Big thanks to Chef Marcel who impressed us with all the meals and drinks at Es Pi. Highly recommended.
This house and Deia is the abs highlight of our trip in Mallorca! The house is located on top of the old town, you will get an amazing view better than any mirado in town. We enjoyed our stay here a lot. The owner made us feeling comfortable like home. It’s the place we will stay if we are back in the island. 🥰💚
Unbeatable location and view. Walk to Deia in 5minutes. Get the real authentic feel of local lifestyle. The drive up the hill is tight, don't attempt with a big car. Look down from the hilltop onto Deia and short walk down to Deia restaurants. Rooms are antique but bathroom modern. All clean.
Stunning location just outside Deia, magnificent sea views
Very peaceful, no kids allowed - a great break for relaxing
Lovely pool with comfortable sun loungers
Great breakfast
Wide range of alcohol choice
Great bus route to nearby Deia, Soller, Valdemossa and Palma
Taxi bookable too
great staff with warm welcoming Alejandro, the son. beautiful location with beautiful building and decoration. the place is a magic. The place is decorated with old vibes, olive trees, and palm where breakfast is served which overlooks the valley of Deia.
It was our 3rd time staying in this wonderful Mallorcan hotel. And how lovely it was to be back. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a stunning position with glorious walks. The food is delicious and very well presented.
The hotel was lovely and 10-15 minute walk in Deia. The amenities were very nice, however the best part of the hotel was the private beach. Beaches in Mallorca are rocky/hard to get to so this was a lovely addition.
The location was amazing and the value for the hotel was spectacular. It felt similar to Big Sur, but didn’t have to pay $1,000 per night. We were upgraded to an ocean view at no cost. The service was fantastic.
Breakfast was amazing.
Staff went out of their way to make one's holiday simply perfect.
I do not believe there is a more stunning view from the hotel anywhere else in Majorca. Simply breathtaking.
the house was spacious and located in a beautiful place, surrounded by old olive trees and with a path to a cala (rocky shore of the Mediterranean). It was close to the town of Deia.
The views from the pool and breakfast area are absolutely gorgeous. The breakfast was very good and staff very nice. It’s right in the centre of Deia so it’s a great location.
Great hotel in a super location for Deia, with a great view. Staff very helpful and friendly. Facilities are good. Breakfast is excellent. Tapas restaurant excellent.
The hotel had easy access to the Gr221which we were walking. The room was big and very clean. We had a good breakfast on the terrace with lovely views.
