Lovely town on the North Coast to base yourself for all the excursions around. Fantastic beaches and plenty of good food places. Weather can change at a moments notice with sun, rain and the wrath of the Atlantic all in a day, come prepared. If you golf there are excellent golf courses.

As long as weather is good there is no better place to be than at Portrush. The beaches the food the pubs all great and the people always make you welcome.
General shopping would be limited however, but in reality when you go to portrush your not really wanting to shop.

I scheduled in Portrush because of a visit to Giants Causeway. I was pleasantly surprised with the city. It is a very clean upscale beach town. My only regret is not realizing The Harbour bar was also a restaurant. We did end up eating in a more trendy "European" restaurant and did not discover Harbour Bar until after dinner. As a traveler from the US, I would have preferred the old friendly feeling to The Harbour Bar and wish it popped up in a search for restaurants on Google.

A familu friendly place and very welcoming.
A familu friendly place and very welcoming. Plenty to do, with the beach, currys amusements and shops and cafes. The Jet centre and the giants causeway was a short drive and portstewart close by. Lovely place.

Portrush is a very busy wee town.
Portrush is a very busy wee town. It is especially good for families with plenty for all ages to do. 2 lovely beaches, a fair ground and lots of large gaming places. Our favourite place is the Arcadia café.
Our hotel is situated nearer to Portrush, however, we liked the relative quietness of Portstewart.
So, Portrush is great for families and not quite so good for over 60s.

Nice place to stay because there is railway station.
Nice place to stay because there is railway station. Moreover it is very close to all main attractions in Northern Ireland ( Beach near Downhill, Giants Caseway, Dunluce Castle, Carrick -a- Rede, etc. ) So the location is very convenient for travelling.
We had nice walk along the beach ( very wide an d clean ). And we had delicious dinner near the sea side restaurant.

Northern Irish hospitality is legendary. Cheryl @128 epitomises such hospitality. We received a warm welcome and without being intrusive, we were treated like familiar friends. I know she said she was going into Portrush anyway, but she gave us a lift in and dropped us off at our restaurant! The accommodation is on a par with boutique hotels. It was comfortable and perfectly equipped. @128 is a gem.
Located right off the main street in Portrush, this is a very good accommodation. This hostel is better than a lot of 3 star hotels that I have stayed in over the years. Tastefully decorated, clean rooms, friendly staffs and a fully stocked kitchen with a variety of breakfast options on offer, not to mention very competitive price. All in all, a great little gem in Portrush.
We decided to pay for a larger room as the price was so good and were pleasantly surprised when we were given the best room in the hotel. Extra large room with floor to ceiling windows and an outstanding view across to Royal Portrush Golf course. My husband was in heaven. Staff were super friendly and attentive. We stayed for 2 nights, would highly recommend this hotel.
Perfect location in Portrush! 1st floor entry made it easy to bring in our belongings. Michele is very friendly, accessible, and gracious; she answered all of our questions in a timely manner and gave fabulous suggestions for things to do and where to go for food, drink & ice cream!! Very clean, cozy and comfortable! We would definitely stay here again 🥰
Everything!! Exceptionally clean, amazing facilties. This was a last minute booking for my husband and I and our first away from our 5 year old son. All Seasons exceeded expectations. As a family, at the beginning of April we actually stayed 3 days in a hotel in Portrush and compared to All Seasons, it was a hovel!!!
The Royal Court is a beautiful hotel, the setting in stunning, the hotel has beautiful views over Portrush and out to sea Our room was, modern, clean, comfortable, the shower was fab and we had a nice view of Portrush and the sea. The staff was so helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Recommend this hotel!!
Spacious place, all updated. Nice amenities - new appliances, coffee/tea and biscuits are left for you. The 3 bedrooms are comfortable, the twin room a bit small but totally fine. Easy walk to town and beaches (10 - 15 min). Nice outdoor space. Portrush is a wonderful beach town to visit.
We have been traveling in Ireland for 3 weeks now, primarily staying at B&Bs, and the amazing breakfasts were the best we had at any B&B or hotel, bar none. they have an excellent budget, but I would strongly recommend opting for their optional menu for a few extra pounds. Must amazing!
Just love where the royal court hotel is situated, beautiful scenery, lovely stroll down to the beach.
Food is off excellent quality, with a good choice .
Bedrooms are beautifully decorated, with a very comfortable bed.
All the staff are friendly and helpful.
This fantastic b&b is almost in the centre of the very picturesque town of Portrush. The staff is very friendly and helpful, bed was comfortable and room very clean and cosy. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay - wonderful and huge! Highly recommend!
Beautiful modern house fully equipped for a family to stay in. Even had toys and books for the kids. Very close to the beach, 10min walk at kids pace. Loads to do in Portrush and surrounding areas. Great to park up the car and walk most places
The breakfast is absolutely delicious, the staff is well attentive and very friendly. The front desk staff is very friendly.Room is very good size. The food is good price and delicious. We will stay in The Port Hotel again 😍
Loved everything! Such a cute hotel. From the booking.com photos it looked small but the rooms and decently sized. The interiors are so so cute! And the breakfast was amazing, so were the hosts/ staff. 11/10 I would say :)
There was a great choice of food served throughout the day. The breakfasts were excellent.
This hotel is ideally located for a walk on the beach or into Portrush to visit the shops or for something to eat.
Fantastic location between Portrush & Portstewart. Amazing buzz at the outdoor area with live music. We had our dog with us & he was able to stay in our room as they have a few dedicated pet friendly rooms.
Staff were very friendly. Food was good for dinner and breakfast. Location was ideal on the outskirts of Portrush and it offered plenty of parking spaces.
