A great place to relax and wind down away from the hustle and bustle of daily lives. And the food at the supermarket Pingo Doce is really amazing !!! They have lamb , octopus , clams and you name it and the menu changes everyday ! Get a mountain bike to see the island at your own pace as the roads are very bicycle friendly.

The place is very quite and with very nice Long Beach with amazing sea color.
There are bar on the beach making party with deejays.
When you arrive on the island if you haven’t rented any car you might face problem finding taxi.
Today I had the ferry at noon and I discovered that the public transport stop to work at 11. This is crazy and only to assure income to taxis which often are not enough. In any case the place is nice and after you learned a few lessons you want to come back.

Very nice little island, perfect to relax for 4-7 days as beach holiday "pre-course" for a Madeira hiking/action holiday. Not as green as Madeira, but has beautiful beaches & views, also some nice hikes.

Not like Madeira - easy, peaceful, rather flat desert island. You can spend time in the beach, "climb" one of 3 "mountains", walk along hiking trails for nice views, go kayaking, visit sand dunes (unlike any other dunes I've seen). With a car you can visit most of the spots in 2 days, without a car - a week is more than enough.

Long beach with light sand and warm waters.
Nice small town where one can find everything needed.
One can walk from one side of the island to the other in one day!
Taxi service works all over the island, so it is not needed to rent a car to move around.
There are many food options from eating at home to nice restaurants.

We were staying in Funchal and it was great to get over to...
We were staying in Funchal and it was great to get over to Porto Santos for a couple of days. We got the ferry over, the ferry only runs once a day - early morning out and late evening back, so plenty of time to explore if you are just going for the day. We went overnight, which was just right for us, and stayed in the very lovely 16 Porto Santos apartments. The beaches were lovely, and not busy at all. We went on the open top bus tour, which was a great way to see the island. Plenty of local restaurants and cafes to chose from. All in all, well recommended for a short break if you are holidaying in Funchal.
16 Porto Santos Apartments really was a hidden gem, right in the middle of the town centre but very private, being walled off with its own private courtyard. It was as described, one very clean, tidy and comfortable room with a separate toilet/shower - ideal for our one night stay when visiting from Funchal. Communications with Carla were excellent, and check-in/out was very smooth and we were able to leave our bags there after check-out, which was very handy as the ferry only runs once a day in the evening.
The view was fantastic and the hotel was beautiful! We used the reading nook upstairs, which had a terrific view and was a great place to relax and recharge our electronics. It was a very convenient walk into town and to restaurants. We especially liked the hotel's restaurant and the staff there. We loved breakfast - it was delicious! If we are lucky enough to visit again, we would certainly stay with you. The front desk staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful!
The hosts were very sweet, friendly and helpful. The apartment was perfect for a couple and the view was out of this world. We spent hours on the beautiful balcony and had relaxing evenings with netflix in front on the view. We were also able to borrow the scooter free of charge, which helped us a lot getting around the island and to the house. That was a major plus. Would really recommend renting this apartment!
The staff in the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and had everything that I needed. I was impressed by their professionalism and attention to detail. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the amenities were great. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Fabulous 60’s hotel with all the original features. Hotel were unbelievable, changed the dates of our stay at no extra cost due to easyJet cancelling our flight, an absolute winner. Breakfast was good, buffet style, endless amounts of food and drink. Setting was amazing, right on the beach. If you’re thinking of staying here, do it, no regrets. Thanks for a splendid stay. Will definitely return.
Magical place ♥️
A few steps from Ponta da Calheta, Porto Santo Destination offers that silence and relaxation that is expected of a holiday.
Fantastic staff, relaxing place - especially for the sound of the ocean that accompanies sleep - spotlessly clean and elegant room, with all the comforts.
Recommended for all those who want a break from the daily chaos. :)
Ancient building but very well maintained. Beautiful garden with palm trees and direct access to the beach. Superior room has a cozy bed, a sheltered balcony and enough outlets (incl. two USB sockets). Overall a very peaceful Hotel with plenty of areas to relax. The hotel staff had managed an earlier check-in, which is a big plus but exception. Breakfast was ok.
It is on a walking distance from the most amazing beach. We had a room with a view of the ocean and it was good. But if you spend more time in your room not only sleeping in it be sue that the view from the back of the hotel is not good and it's better to pay more. The room was spacious. The bathroom also. I would recommend it for sure and I will be back.
Perfect location, 2min off the town center. The house itself has everything you need, including an outdoor lounge/bbq area, and a table which is perfect for your meals.
Checking in and out was easy, and would definitely stay there again and for longer.
The biggest supermarket of the island is also right next door.
Very very clean room and toilets, comfortable bed, very good coffee in the room. There is a shared kitchen with a lot of utilities as well. Great views from room and very close to the most beautiful beach on the island.
The staff and the manager of the place was very kind and helpful.
The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly. The beach bar is very convenient and the little pool is a bonus. On the last day once we checked out we were allowed to stay at the pool, that was so nice because otherwise we were just had to wait somewhere else for the 8oclock ferry
We had an apartment which had a lot of space and was comfortable to stay in. Breakfast had a lot of variety, I just didn't like the coffee they had (which happened in a lot of hotels on Madeira as well). The staff was really friendly as well. Everything seemed quite clean as well.
Already know quite well Porto Santo and I can say the location is just perfect. 5-10min walk from city center and 1-2min walk from the beach (just on the other side of the road)
Its a small but cosy place and ideal for some days at this lovely island.
Comfortable stylish place, kitchen and bathroom a bit basic but could stay for weeks. Great to have kitchen because restaurants and bars on Porto Santo are not very good and quite expensive. Close to beach with nice patio to relax on.
Klaudia and Rafael's accomodation provide me an excellent holiday. The environment is breathtaking, the hotel is very good for value.
This place is a perfect choice for having an unforgettable holiday. I'll be back soon.
Otto Nemes was very kind and helpful at the reception and we got many beautiful suggestion as well for our car trip. Best people in the best hotel where we have stayed ever.
Paula was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The property is beautiful, modern, very clean. The location is great. Porto Santo is such a fantastic island.
