Our stay was simply memorable. The room with a beautiful view was very warm and cosy despite the cold outside. Apart from the warmth and attentiveness from the host, there are many details to appreciate. These include Portuguese laced curtains, crochet and embroidered bed linen; or the Portuguese breakfast with homemade marmalades and jams, cheese and Portuguese bread. There is also an interesting historical background to the building contributing to this quaint unique picturesque village.

Great location in a little community. Staff amazingly friendly and doing everything to make your stay pleasant. We had the suite with terras. Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast with local products was very good. Little shop around the corner.

Our host was kind and generous with her time answering our many questions. She bakes the most delicious cakes and serves a wonderful cup of coffee in a charming old world setting. The location is isolated, yet shouldn't be missed. Just enough choices of eateries in the town square.

Beautiful village hidden up the mountains in Portugal. All the house/bungalows are made of stone, the same stone also used to roof them, and to pave the street; this gives the place its unique charm and character. Not to mention the mountains, full of green and streams and walking trails. I’ll definitely visit again, to explore all Piodão and the region have to offer!RicardoBrazil

I liked the view of the room, the cleanliness of the place, and the cozyness of the place. I think next time I can make a better use of the facilities. Prices are very good for what you get. I think I liked this place because more than a 4 star hotel, I would say it is a 5 start mountain shelter... or cabin, this is a good thing, as it is more in line with the environment.

The staff were also nice. We bothered reception a few times to ask for cardboard games (uno, chess, dominoes were free) and the person there was always very nice. The breakfast was excellent.
