Friendly people lots to do but not marked on google maps so you have to explore alot of it yourself. The chapels are well worth a visit especially one of them that's at the far left of the peninsula. A monk was found in a cave there and they built a stunning chapel for him.

Peniche is a nice sea site town to visit. You can get fresh fish out of the fishermanˆs truck. We had a wonderful octopus in a restaurant by the Forte da Praia da Consolacao. Next time we will stay longer.

Peniche was our first beach town after visiting cities and it did no disappoint. It's a lovely spot and has a small beach town feel, as it should! It's was to walk around and there are many choices of bars and restaurants.

Some gorgeous beaches in Peniche and the surrounding area. We took some surf lessons which was great fun and the location for them is perfect. It's not a very bustling area, so if you're after a lot of atmosphere might not be the place for you.

Peniche is the right choice, if you appreciate closeness to the nature, ocean views, roar of the Atlantic, trekking along the coastal paths and don't mind an occasional shower of rain. It is also close to Lissabon, with a working bus connection. Small calm town, perfect hideaway for a peaceful break and a relaxing holiday.

This is an old fishing town and they still fish from here.
This is an old fishing town and they still fish from here. It has become a major surfing centre too. There is quite a lot to see and boat trips to offshore islands are available but have to be booked well in advance - they are very popular!
Such an amazing place. We randomly picked this hotel as a stop on our road trip up the coast of Portugal and it ended up being one of our favorites. We were a little worried since we got there so late at night and hours after our 'Estimated Time of Arrival' but Hugo was so nice and welcoming while checking us in that late at night. Great location and value. The perfect place to stay. The family at AtlasAdventured.com really enjoyed Casa Do Campo and highly recommends you stay here when visiting Peniche.
The location of the hotel is literally one block away from the beach. The beach (Frades) is very clean and sandy, more of local scene so its a nice change from being in heavy touristy spot. The hotel is located next to a bakery and the best pizza place we have tried in Portugal so far. The room is small and simple, as shown in the pictures. A bit musty. Host was super accommodating.
Nice hotel five mins walk away from the surf spot. The room was 10/10, everything was clean and comfortable so if you need a place to sleep and spend time mostly outside - it’s a perfect match. The breakfast was just normal, but the price was pretty nice so we were ok with it. And of course it was nice to chill at spa/pool zone and they also have a place to dry wetsuits.
The bungalow was very cute. Everything was very clean and the staff was very nice. The restaurant above reception was very good (although it was pricy). There were dishes in the room along with a microwave and two hot plates. The ocean was right by the gate of the resort with amazing views just a few steps away. It was a great place for a few nights in Peniche.
The hotel is really clean and well taken care of!
The staff was helpful caring and check in really fast ! I didn’t like the view in my room and was given another one that I liked better with no problems ! The breakfast had many quality choices of food . The spa is really good and working properly which is not the case in many hotels.
What was not to like. Frederick and Kristof were outstanding hosts and their guesthouse (we had the one bedroom) was beautiful. The town of Peniche is very walkable. We had the best meal of out trip based on recommendations of our hosts. We would love to stay here again on another trip.
Beautiful guest house. Nicely furnished like a boutique hotel. Great location near the old fortrress, restaurants, church and boat trips. Spacious communal kitchen and living roo. Sweet room. It was double even though it was advertised as single
So many facilities, it's hard to take advantage of them all when the beautiful Peniche competes for attention. The breakfast was high quality and the dinners were pretty good. Gym equipment was in good shape. Very comfortable rooms.
The unit was clean and inviting with its own private balcony. A perfect location to catch the WSL tour at Peniche - with just short walk over the dunes. But what we loved most was our hosts, who were so welcoming and kind!
Very clean and comfortable room and public areas. There was a large function on one of the days of the stay but the hotel made us aware before we arrived and it was very well managed causing no inconvenience.
Very nice accommodation in an original, desolate location - at the tip of the Peniche peninsula. Very quaint. But note that you need to have a car and be prepared for an ocean mist in the morning.
Big rooms and balcony, clean all over and pleasant staff. Good breakfast, good location close to a very good beach and excellent Surf School in the hotel location. Big and clean swimming pools.
The small hotel was super nice! We took the free bikes to explore the city in the evening and enjoyed the nice breakfast in the morning. Perfect for a short stay in Peniche.
