Previously the centre of the Hapsburg Empire, Vienna is the current centre of Austria’s culture, economics, and politics. Visitors may think they are in a museum as they walk through the historic first district, but Vienna also has a youthful and dynamic side with lots to offer.
St Stephens Cathedral in the Inner-City is surrounded by the Ring Road, with grandiose buildings like City Hall, the Austrian Parliament, the State Opera House and the Burgtheater. Enjoy the city where amazing musicians like Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, and Mahler once lived. If you're visiting during the carnival season, practice your waltzing skills at one of Viennas 200 glamorous annual balls.
Visitors can wander around beautiful park grounds in the Wiener Prater and Schonbrunn Palace provides imperial and extravagant grounds to stroll through. After exploring, eat with the locals by enjoying famous sandwiches at Trzesniewski, a Wiener Schnitzel at Cafe Central or taste traditional wines at the city’s many Viennese pubs.
Vienna International Airport is the doorway to the heart of Vienna. Booking.com has luxury hotels, charming bed & breakfasts and modern apartments to meet any accommodation needs for your stay in Austria’s capital.

it's a beautiful city, I managed to see a couple of concerts, and the top 10 sights, with walking and sightseeing in between for 5 days. it's quite expensive, coffee at 5.20e, and every library, museum, gallery and even opera house comes at a price (approx 20e). The parliament tour is free but needs booking in advance.
I'd recommend Aida cafe near St Stephen Cathedral for apple strudel and other cakes.
With Klimt's original painting and other notable art, a beautiful garden at the front and back of the building, Belvedere Palace is worth a visit.
Kunshistorichen museum was an hour or two walk around the rooms, but the most memorable was the building itself and the cafe in the centre of it. you can get a combined ticket with the Imperial Treasury Museum.
avoid street sellers next to Hofburg Palace, ask what the concert halls look like, and read the reviews before booking one.

Vienna was fun. Exciting. Lots of people around.
Vienna was fun. Exciting. Lots of people around. Great weather, lots of restaurants. We enjoyed doing the Free Walking Tour - which of course you have to tip but it was informative. Shopping is expensive if you are Canadian with the exchange but we were just site seeing. I enjoyed L'Europe restaurant and L'il Italy for pizza. We enjoyed our stay.

Vienna is a beautiful city, full of historic interest,...
Vienna is a beautiful city, full of historic interest, lovely parks, cultural attractions and interesting shops. The centre of the city has a wide variety of affordable cafes and restaurants - we were only able to sample a few, but weren't disappointed by any of them. For those whose German-language skills are a bit rusty, almost everyone we met spoke English. And perhaps best of all for the tourist, the public transport system is amazing - for a few Euros a day, you can get a ticket that allows you to walk on and off the subway system, trams and buses, which will take you everywhere you could possibly want to go. The network is easy to navigate and very well integrated - probably the best I've encountered anywhere in the world.

The culture was exceptional…. what to do next .
The culture was exceptional…. what to do next . We went to the Spanish riding school and I loved it …something I had always wanted to do. Also got tickets for the Vienna orchestra which was outstanding…there were dancers in the performance who were mesmerising. We arranged a local guide to do a personal tour…I hate walking round in a crowd… so we had a good idea where places were very quickly. We felt that Vienna had a rich history to share related to wars and art movements in the past .
Freud’s house was very interesting to us and had lots of information about his life and philosophy.

If you're into architecture, history and art, Vienna is one...
If you're into architecture, history and art, Vienna is one of the great cities of Europe. It also isn't as expensive as many other destinations. Great public transit and if you get tired of the city itself you can be in the Alps in slightly over an hour. The city isn't exactly pedestrian-friendly though, lots of car traffic with nobody driving under the speed limit.
We had the most wonderful stay at the Guesthouse Vienna. The location was perfect for us to walk to all the sights and the subway station. The hotel itself was quiet, cozy, and charming. We commented on how we had everything we needed: a central location, comfy bed, hot shower with amazing water pressure, cozy but modern decor, friendly and helpful staff, and a wonderful cafe to grab a bite to eat. The staff were able to hire a clean and comfortable ride to and from the airport. As two women traveling alone, we especially felt safe.
The hotel is very well located, close to Prater and Praterstern, from where you have good connections to the airport and city center.
The staff members are polite, well trained and helpful. Breakfast looks great, even if I didn't have it I would advise to take it
Very clean rooms and bathrooms/toilet. Rooms were heated very pleasantly, so it is so nice to relax in the evening. Bed is very comfortable. Refrigerator and water heater are very big plusses. Thank you for your help and for a wonderful stay in beautiful Vienna! ❤️
Very clean, modern and minimalist in a pleasant way. Bathroom very nice. Staff professional but also friendly and helpful.
Check in was at 2, but staff were helpful and willing to check you in earlier if rooms were available. If not, secure bag area was available.
This hotel was really pleasant and a great place to stay in Vienna for a fair price. Great location just outside of Wien Hbf (5 minutes from train platform to room), with a tram stop that takes you directly into the city centre.
I think the location is pretty nice. There is a tram line that took us straight to the city center. The hotel itself is clean, aesthetic and great for young people such as myself for traveling since the price was very youngadult friendly. Also the parking price for one night was pretty good as well considering it is Vienna we are talking about. It is very easy to check in and check out and it was easy to communicate since everyone spoke english. Overall a great experience. Would stay again.
Nice hotel with a great location, close to transport links and within 10 minutes of Vienna City centre. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and very warm. The breakfast was very good, with a great variety. The staff were very nice across the hotel and a special mention for Kumar from the breakfast team, he was very kind, and made us feel welcomed and at home. We will be sure to book this hotel the next time we come to Vienna. Thank you Kumar, you gave us a great experience!
Exceptional hotel in the city center of Vienna. The location is just amazing and the hotel is very elegant. When we arrived, without asking, we got an upgraded room free of charge. The room was very bright, spacious and charming. Plus, the view from the window is amazing and despite being in the city center it's very quiet. The hotel also offers breakfast for 25 EUR/person per day, which we didn't opt for. Nevertheless, it's an amazing place and it's really worth it.
I chose to stay near to the Vienna Train Station (but a little bit far from city centre) so that I could easily catch the train to the Vienna International Airport on the last day. I would say the hotel is considered very near to the train station - only 1 tram station away. You have to walk to the nearest tram stop which is Alfred-Adler-Straße and ride 1 stop to Hauptbahnhof Ost S stop and you could reach the platforms in Vienna Train Station very soon.
This is a newly renovated extremely eco- friendly hotel in an excellent location in Vienna. Very close to underground stop to get in to all the old city center sites or you could also walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the beds very comfortable, and the included breakfast was fabulous! Lots of organic and homemade items- scrumptious. Wish this hotel was in more cities!
It was the perfect end to our holiday the room was amazing views over the Vienna skyline everything was perfect I would stay there again in a heartbeat. it wasn’t too far from the station and absolutely great value for 5 star treatment breakfast was also a treat we have travelled for 2 weeks 7 hotels in different parts of Europe this was the best by far well done Mooons
The staff were very kind and excellent in their service.
Although my flight was very early in the morning, they offered me a lunch box to take along to the airport.
The location is easily accessible and is 20minutes walk to the Vienna city centre and 10minutes walk to the train and underground station. There are trams as well within 3minutes walk to the hotel
Great location right near Belvedere Castle. Quite close to the city centre (10 minutes walking), big and cosy rooms, silent place, very nice and kind staffing, underground parking with easy access to the hotel, a good bistro nearby hotel with good prices and food for breakfast. For sure I'll return there on my next visit to Vienna.
Pension Neuer Markt is in an excellent location in the heart of Vienna city centre. Everywhere is reachable on foot and the hotel is beside an underground station. It really is a perfect location. The staff were friendly and at breakfast there was plenty of food and a good selection to choose from. The beds were comfortable.
This was a great base for a visit to Vienna with easy access to the city centre via the trams which pass the hotel. We appreciated the colourful and lively design and the room was well equipped and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely be happy to stay here again.
A very nice receptionist Lady explained not clear rules on parking fees in Vienna. Apart from that, the hotel provides its own parking space for additional fees. Very good breakfest. Nice location in a walking distance to the city centre, that is also easily approachable by bus.
Hilton Park Vienna has the best location. You come out directly from the CAT express airport train and the hotel is in front of you. It is very close to everywhere in walking distance. Breakfast is rich open buffet and very clean, comfortable hotel. Highly recommended.
The location close to public transport is ideal, with easy access to the city centre. The hotel is ok for one or two nights, good value for money for Vienna. Especially the rooms in the inner courtyard guarantee an absolutely quiet night.
Design, modern furnitures. The apartment was like a 5 star hotel ! The owner was VERY helpful !!! Metro station line U1 is two minutes from the apartment. In 12 minutes you are in Stephansplatz ! Visit again when we will go to Vienna.
This hotel has the best location in Vienna. In the city centre just behind the cathedral. The rooms are large and clean. Furnished with stylish furniture in royal style. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
A nice, cozy hotel located within the walking distance of the city center (15 min). Friendly service, tasty breakfast and comfortable rooms, overall a great option when staying in Vienna.
