Off season it is quiet and not as easy to find variety of eating options. Proximity to beach was a plus. Lovely for a morning or evening walk. Brought our dog onto beach with no issue. Lots of great walks in the area worth checking out the st columban trail. It begins a bit boring but definitely improves from the columban church onwards. Locals were notably friendly.

Beautiful old city.
Beautiful old city. Off season access to the standing stones was free but not as well documented as it could have been. Nice Museum of PreHistory and Alignments Center. The restaurant Pizzeria La Terrasse was delicious and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Also, Europcar in Auray near the train station was reasonably priced and our rental experience went very well. Very nice and friendly staff. Overall a wonderful experience.

We stayed in an apartment, there were 2 large supermarkets near by and local food shops e.g. boulangeries butchers and a fresh fish shop.
We could walk into Carnac Plage in a few minutes, loads of places to eat and drink.
Bike hire, including ebikes.
Lots of cycle lanes and paths to walk on.
Carnac stones about 5 mins drive away but you could walk or cycle there easily.
Very easy to drive along the coast and visit other places.
It was busier at the weekend which we expected.

An absolutely perfect blend of location and facilities for families and individuals of all ages. Great facilities in the town without being to cluttered/noisy. Great restaurants, markets, amazing beach, and very interesting historically. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely, relaxing holiday in France.

It is a Sailing Regatta venue which provides the holiday infrastructure for wives and friends who are attending but not competing. It often has good weather in the summer and this combined with the shops, restaurants, beaches and places of interest make it a social place to be.

No tours in English as advertised.
No tours in English as advertised. Had to see Neolithic stones from outside. Museum had some interesting artifacts but was not worth the trip and lousy hotel. All restaurants were closed as it was Monday.
An excellent comfortable hotel, our room was large and bright with big windows from which we could see a distant sea. The staff are extra helpful with information about the area and excellent English. The location is perfect for visiting the main stone alignments and close to the town, but a few kilometres from Carnac Plage and the beach/sea. There are a few places to eat and shops in the town (as well as the Archaeological Museum) but many tourist facilities are down at Carnac Plage. All a matter of what you want close at hand.
Large room with small balcony, very modern design with a nice rain shower. A lot of space for storing things. Bed was very comfortable. And it was quiet, the hotel is in a residential area of the town.
The breakfast was really great and of course the restaurant as well, we can only recommend everyone to reserve at least one dinner there.
The hotel is in easy walking distance either to the town centre or to the beach area, where you'll find other restaurants.
The hotel is a little tricky to find due to the narrow one-way streets in Carnac, but once there access was good. Luggage must be carried up one flight of stairs, so be prepared for that. The room was typical European size, but well laid out with useful storage and bathroom. The breakfast was excellent, and the hostess very helpful. We prefer these older buildings with thick stone walls and beamed ceilings over modern cookie-cutter places.
A family owned hotel with a long history and pedigree The recent renovation was tastefully done. It was nice to have secure parking inside the hotel's gate. Just a block and a half to the beach and a few minute walk into the heart of the business district, the hotel is a fine address for staying in Carnac and exploring the environs. The restaurant is quite good and has the potential for becoming a destination venue.
Sandrine was an exceptional host. She welcomed us like friends, took us to our room and offered to carry our luggages! She made us feel at home and it did feel like we were staying at a friend’s house rather than a hotel. She was very knowledgeable and helpful to get around the town and the main attractions. The breakfast was really good too and good value!
We stayed just overnight to see the nearby megaliths. The hotel has a friendly atmosphere, it is easily found and well kept. It is surrounded by a garden and it is a walking distance from the stone lines. The breakfast selection was very good, the standards of course, but also some pancakes and honey, in a jar, which scored points with me!
The location was absolutely stunning . The hotel was tired in decor but the location made up for that. The owner and his wife were very welcoming and attentive. I would just say the balcony/ private terraces could benefit from an update in furniture and the dividing screens could be cleaner. Lunchtime food was excellent
The staff were very friendly. The hotel w`s very clean and modern and our room was large with all the facilities we need. The breakfast was excellent and we were able to park our car in the secure car park. We have cycles aND IT WAS A SHORT CYCLE RIDE AWAY FROM ALL THE GREAT AREAS OF CANCUN
Hotel is great, good location, very good value.
The restaurant is exceptional, the staff were fantastic, and the food was some of the best I've had. The tasting menu is just over €100, which is exceptional value for that standard of food.
Staff was friendly and kind. Room was spacious, with balcony overlooking garden, village, and sea in distance. Very good breakfast. Excellent location for walking access to town and museums. Public parking across the street.
very simple small hotel, very clean and managed by one friendly lady who did everything. Nice continental breakfast. Five minutes walk to centre of village and twice a week there is a wonderful market accross the road
Beautiful place, comfortable rooms. Excellent location: facing the sea and near the beach, just 10 minutes walk from the town centre: not far away, yet far away to avoid the noise. Nice spa. Excellent breakfast.
The pool was nice although not too big. The breakfast was good but they ran out of cheese after our first day there. The location next to the Gran Plage is also very convenient and there was ample parking spots.
