Lake Views from Every Angle
On a narrow peninsula protruding into Lake Garda, Sirmione is a wonderful town famed for its multi-turreted castle, Roman remains and hot springs.
The 13th-century lakeside castle makes quite an impressive sight as you cross its drawbridge to enter the old town beyond. From its walls there are lovely views across red-roofed buildings towards the trees hiding the ruins of a huge villa that belonged to 1st century BC Roman poet Catullus. Part of the complex included baths benefitting from the thermal waters, and the town still has a spa today on the opposite side of the promontory.
Nearby is the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore with its 15th-century frescoes, and the surrounding narrow, cobbled streets are home to stone buildings and several Sirmione hotels on Lake Garda. The majority of hotels are mid-range, but there are still a few 4 and 5-star hotels in Sirmione to choose from.
Booking.com also has lots of accommodation by the lake in the newer part of town, and its Lugana Vecchia area has a UNESCO World Heritage-listed prehistoric site.
To the west of Sirmione is the lakefront town of Desenzano del Garda, while to the east is Peschiera del Garda, close to the Gardaland and Canevaworld theme parks. The nearest airport is Verona Catullo Airport to the south-east.
Such a beautiful spot. We stayed right in the heart of the historic centre and I can’t recommend it enough. The people are so friendly and the area is just beautiful. It’s not overly expensive compared to a lot of Italy. It is touristy - but not in an unbearable way. The locals are very welcoming and helpful. It is small so I recommend 1-2 days.

Sirmione is a great location to stay for a long weekend or 4 days. Very relaxing with plenty of sites, eating houses and bars. It's also a stone throw from the ferry port if you want to visit other towns on the lake.

A very colorful small town with a lot of ancient sights and beautiful architecture.
Excellent local food with both seafood and meat assortment will satisfy any gourmet.
The local lake with clear water gives the impression that you are on the sea coast. A wonderful sleep with the sound of the waves if you are in a hotel on the coast... for example at the Marconi Hotel.
Perhaps not the best way to come here by car... especially if you don't reserve parking in advance

As an opportunity to relax and unwind, Simione is wonderful.
As an opportunity to relax and unwind, Simione is wonderful. From the small, easily walkable old town, to the accessible attractions (the castle, Roman ruins, and museum), and the relaxed spritz-o'clock culture, topped off with a lovely Spa resort, it was a wonderful, easy-going stay. You must stay in the old-town, but there is no need to be in the centre, as the place is so small. All of the restaurants and bars we visited were lovely, so you can't really go wrong. Book yourself some time in Aquaregia Spa, it's wonderful. If you're arriving by car, make sure your parking is pre-arranged, as there are no private cars on the island.

Sirmione is beautiful.
Sirmione is beautiful. It has a little bit of everything.... from historical buildings, a castle and ruins, beaches, gorgeous views, parks, lots of quaint shops, walkable throughout, water-activities and amazing restaurants.
A Massive thanks to Paulo and the team. Il Mosaico was the highlight of this trip and many more accomodations we have stayed: great bed, very clean, super friendly staff, all perfect! Location is very central; not quite on the Sirmione Peninsula but 5 min by car. Another plus: the staff speaks English and is SUPER friendly, you don't find this everywhere in Italy :). Other reviews say that it is on a busy road, but we did not experience any noise at all. We will definitely come back.
My apartment had an amazing panoramic view, watching sunrise every morning through the window had made my stay! Clean apartment, warm (apartments in Italy in winter are not always so), nice small kitchen and dining area. Around 30 min walk to Terme. Parking area right next to the apartment. Collecting keys was easy, Livia, the host, was very friendly and helpful, communication process was smooth. I liked the surrounding area, it is nice to walk. Would love to stay again.
The swimming pool. I booked the hotel because of its location on Lake Garda, but the deck of the hotel leads to a very unnapealing murky dark water, bummer, but the pool compensated for that. Great lounges the pool area and the grassy area too. The A/C was great (a rare thing in Italy). the modern decor mix with the 60's design of the hotel. The varandas were a great place to have aperitivo. Free Parking and free pet stay.
The stay was awesome and I came back a few days later for two nights. Lou at the front desk was awesome- she gave me excellent advice on where to go up in the Dolomite’s- her recommendations were spot on and I was very grateful
I will definitely be returning to Sirmione and the Hotel Corte Regina as my son was just married to a wonderful lady not far away and I will be returning often as I love Sirmione and Lake Garda !
This place is really great!
Good location, 5 minutes by car to the thermae or 15 minutes on foot. The hotel has very tasty restaurant where we had dinner. Best pasta with pistachio sauce in my whole trip to Italy.
Very tasty breakfast, had champagne too.
Welcoming and friendly staff. We were allowed to check out later as there was bad weather.
Would very much like to come back here again!
The location was perfect, overlooking Lake Garda on a little promontory that ensured a steady cooling breeze. Both pools were spectacular and unlike some of the hotels closer to town, there was plenty of space in between the loungers so that you could enjoy a conversation without others overhearing it. Speaking of space, the ample parking lot was great, as were the daily breakfasts.
Amazing location, right in the middle of old Sirmione, great view of Lake Garda from the room's window, the room itself is so beautiful, the breakfast rich, the staff is very helpful and friendly, and surrounded by stores and restaurants. An all round simply gorgeous hotel! We are a family of four and enjoyed our stay tremendously.
The hotel was at the quiet end of Sirmione, opposite the spa. All the staff we met were friendly and very helpful. Our room was comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed. A free bottle of water every day was a nice extra bonus. Breakfast consisted of a wide range of fresh goods to please everyone.
Everything perfect. Parking in front of the building, In a quite zone and close to the lake Garda and all sightseeings. Apartment is big, clean, everything in is almost new and well equiped (refrigerator, microwave, coffee and wasch machine, ...). It's also pet friendly. Our host Lara was very helpful.
Very good location, you can walk to the farthest point of Sirmione in about 35 minutes, you can also drive or use public transport. Nearby restaurants, shop, bus stop. The reception at the hotel is very pleasant, the breakfast excellent. Recommend.
Excellent position between Gardalend/Pescharia and Sirmione. Old but very good hotel. Clean, comfortable, nice premises. Laura and Sergio are great hosts, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and satisfying.
The Best hotel I experienced during my tour in Italy , Modern , Clean , Exceptional breakfast buffet , on site parking and attentive staff , will definitely be my choice if I visited again
Tanina and Nicola at the Reception were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic and the hotel was very clean. Excellent location was right in the middle of Sirmione.
Wonderfull! If you ever go for holidays to Sirmione you should stay at hotel Vinci. Everything was perfect and whenever we come back to Lake Garda we will stay here again.
Absolutely one of my favorite hotel experiences on this trip! The staff was wonderful, the room was clean and so comfortable, and the proximity to Sirmione was fantastic.
