We stayed in this hotel for 1 night during a road trip. The staff was extremly friendly and helpful, the room clean and lovely and the sea-view from the balcony definitelly does the trick. Walking to the sandy beach outside is just 10 meters. Really great.

Beautiful hotel - very clean and has a lovely calm atmosphere - Marilaina and Yannis were extremely helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us - great location just a few minutes walk to the beach and tavernas - would definately stay again if we ever visit the Pelloponesse - thank you

Gythio is a very pleasant little town with a range of eating places and shops, set on a bay with a small port The Castello Antico is set 5km round the coastline - which means there are no hassles for car parking, Access to the Mani Peninsula and other interesting places in Southern Peleponnese by car is easy - but public transport limited. About 3.5 hours drive to Athens airport.

The upper small streets abd the authentic houses are a landscape to share. Interesting town I expected it to be more picturesque but a good chunk, maybe a third of the town's buildings, are abandoned and derelict which really brings the whole place down. The Olive Yard was perfect!
The Olive Yard was perfect! It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast basket was the best we had in Greece! The hotel staff washed, dried and neatly folded our laundry. It was very much appreciated, especially when you're on a road trip around Greece and don't often have access to laundry facilities. The staff were so friendly and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. Beautiful local beach which is a short walk from The Olive Yard. Perfection...and I will definitely stay there again.

We loved the beaches that are all around Navagio ..Mavrovouni .. Very fresh fish in reasonnable prices . The hotel lakonis 1972 is getting renovated so the view will be much better than a old building skelete. We will be back soon .Margeli

Our hosts, Georgia and her husband Andreas, were very personable and welcoming. I was expecting a DHL delivery and had given the sender the address of the apartment. When it was time for us to leave, the package had not arrived. Georgia offered to forward it if it showed up. Four days later, I received the package at my hotel in Athens!

The location is great, with a direct view to a picturesque atoll. From the balcony you can watch sunrise over the sea in a morning. Everybody was very friendly and we got a discount in the family owned restaurant downstairs (excellent sea food, by the way). We had great 2 days in Gythio and we hope we'll come and again.

Although it is not a busy town, there is a little traffic on the roads surrounding the hotel and they didn't have an unloading area in front of the hotel. However parking in the town is not that hard anyways.. You just dont get the 5 star hotel experience if ther isn't a parking service or unloading convenience in front of the hotel.
