Argassi is a very nice and lively area in Zakynthos.
Argassi is a very nice and lively area in Zakynthos. There is a lot of traffic you need to get accustomed to, but it is great. Lots of restaurants and bars. Not very much options to visit a beach, but its good.
We have traveled the whole Island, but Argassi was the best place to stay in the evening.

Fantastic location for visiting all areas of the island.
Fantastic location for visiting all areas of the island. Several tour operators to arrange your ideal days out can definitely recommend Michael's tours for car hire and personalised trips.
There is a wide range of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets.
No beach as such but many beach bars with sun bed areas and access into the waterr I would definitely recommend Remmezos. Great food and fab hosts.
The resort is almost flat so no problems with mobility.
Argassi is about 15 minutes taxi ride from
the airport, taxis are available right outside the airport and currently cost €20

Argasi is a small town at the coast.
Argasi is a small town at the coast. It’s quite touristic, with many shops with cheap beach stuff, which all look the same. Many restaurants, which offer typical Greek food for tourists (grilled meat, fries, etc.). It’s a long a busy, loud street, walking is very difficult there. There are some bars but nothing really like a club for dancing. You cannot really walk along the beach, since most of the time there is no real sand beach, the hotels and restaurants span to the ocean and then there is directly the water.
Restaurant prices vary from 9 to 16€ per dish.
There are many offers for tourist activities like renting a squad car or taking a boat trip.
I wouldn’t stay here again, since it was too busy and touristy for my taste.
I whole-heartedly recommend the restaurant “erato” though. Great food and perfect service!

Agassi is a much more sober environment than Laganos.
Agassi is a much more sober environment than Laganos.
The beaches are not deep, and not all the hotels by the sea have a beach. The hotel furthest south with beach access is "Paradise".
On August 24th you can get a bus from most places to the main town to celebrate St Dennis.... its a big event... prepare to be underwhelmed.

It is calmer than Laganas, so definitely a plus..
It is calmer than Laganas, so definitely a plus.. But generally Zakynthos doesn't have ancient architecture to admire.. So be prepared just for tourist shops and restaurants...
Also if you wanna see nice beaches you need to go by boat.
4 days in Zakyntos would be optimal, a week was too much.

It was end of season, so very quiet.
It was end of season, so very quiet. Lots of restaurants and bars. Access to beaches also. Regular buses mon-sat from Argassi to Zante. Taxis available too. Argassi is small, so easy enough to walk around. Walk from Ionian Hill hotel into Argassi approx 10 mins.
A very quiet location but in the same time very close to the center, terraces, Agassi beach (2-3 minutes). Also, at 5 minutes to Zakinthos town (Zante). We thoroughly enjoyed a clean and well-kept swimming pool every day. We had clean towels at least every 2 days and room cleaning. We received olives picked from their own trees, wine from local production and many other food from the place. The most important beaches are relatively well connected, 15-20 minutes to Gerakas and Dafni beaches, the most beautiful ever. We will come back! :-)
I stayed at Alisaxni Studios in September 2022 for 4 nights. It was perfect with direct access to the beach. I stayed in the bottom unit that had a kitchen and a patio that I loved. The location was ideal with numerous restaurants within walking distance. I brought my rental car over on the ferry and Alisaxni Studios has free private parking onsite which was great. I had a awesome time on Zante and the close proximity to the port from Alisaxni Studios made for a great lodging location choice. The cruise around the island was fantastic!
The apartment is very conveniently located at the beach and only 5 min by car from the ferry in Zakynthos. It is very spacious, with a nice terrace, two bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen and a big bathroom. The terrace is overlooking a yard just above the beach. The view is wonderful and nothing was lacking. The host Kosta gave us some really good recommendations for restaurants and locations to visit. All in all, a great experience, that was unfortunately cut short by a ferry strike. Would gladly visit again!
We checked in Diana Palace around 11 am, we were told to wait until 15:00 to get into our room. Around that time we were back and after some minutes we were told that we had to move to another hotel from the chain for one night becase there were some plumbing issues with the rooms. The day after we came back and our room was ready, we stayed at the new part and the room looked really pretty. We also got a big nice balcony which was a big plus. Staff was always helpful and friendly
Really nice privately located villa, great views, fully stocked. Daniela, the manager is super helpful and responsive. Daniela met us at check in with explanation of villa amenities and a bottle of rose, which was a nice touch. She is replying to whatsup messages in less than a min, always with helpful info. She also helped organize boat tour around the island, which is a must for visiting Zakynthos, you will see way more vs. what you can reach from shore!
Anemona Beach Hotel is just great. The hotel and the rooms are very nice and clean. Rooms are spacious and with very comfortable beds, There is a beautiful view from the balcony, Perfect location direct to the sea. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Anemona Beach Hotel has everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
Best Booking experience ever. Maria and Spyros were super hosts, they made us feel at home, kind and always available.
The accommodation is surrounded by olive trees with a wonderful view of Zakynthos Town, less than 10 minutes by car. The room is spotless and equipped with all comforts. Super recommended!
Nefeli Beach Hotel is a super nice place. I can only recommend to you. Nice room, amazing sea view, super nice and helpful stuff, nice pool and acces to sea however not a sandy beach. We liked the food and the pool area. The hotel stuff were super helpful whenever we asked a question or needed anything.
Best location to stay in Zante!
Close to all best beaches and a few steps from very good restaurants. Very cosy and beautiful cortner in Agrassi.
Staff very friendly and helpfull.
Beautifull view from the room. The sea also very nice near hotel - sandy cost, clear water.
Highly recomended this hotel!
Awesome hotel with awesome management. In the room everything was clean. There is an awesome pool in the middle of the property. Hotel has a restaurant in the front with a variety of different Greek foods. We enjoyed our 8 days at the hotel and we definitely recomand staying at this hotel.
The location and the view from the apartment was amazing. A bottle of wine was waiting for us as welcome gift :) Everyday we had some small surprise gifts from the owner lady (Baso, very lovely person) and the room was cleaned. We would definitely stay there, if we visit Zakynthos again.
The apartments 301 and 302 are new, the beds are very comfortable and clean, with black out contains , good bed sheets, good bathroom. all of the swimming pool are really nice. Good Breakfast! Location is very good! We loved the staff and the hotel.
it was modern, spacious, amazing pool, quiet, staff were so friendly and kind and helped us with anything we needed. location was great for argassi and laganas and zante town only 10 minute taxi ride away!
The location was perfect,Anastasia is probably the best host I’ve ever met. Extremely welcoming and hospitable. Near the beach and the perfect little cafe.
Close enough to Zante without the crowd.
The hotel is located right on the beach with wonderful views of Zante. The facilities are superb, delicious breakfast and the best was the staf who works there, so friendly, and helpful.
Everything was good at Hotel Palmira. Staff, food, location, facilities, pool. If I return to Zakynthos, I definitely plan to stay at this hotel because of all these excellent services.
I relaxed on the sunbeds in the garden and enjoyed the free Wi-Fi. It's just 3 km from Zakynthos town, and the staff even helped with car rental. Parking was free too!
