The atmosphere at the hostel was really chilled.
The self check in is so easy and in the mornings you can have coffee or breakfast in the nice garden.
I even extended my stay due to the fact that I liked it so much. The area has a lot to offer. If you are going to the caves don't forget to ask for the discount voucher!

Our car broke down in the parking lot and the nice receptionist helped us out and was able to fix the ptoblem and start the engine. Thanks a lot!!

Divača is a quiet town/village on the railwy line between Ljubljana and Koper. It is very close to both Lipica and to skočjanske Jame. These caves are my favourites in Slovenia, although not to be visited if you have a problem walking.. The park surrounding the caves is very beautiful too. Divača itself is quiet, but has a Cinema museum, which is popular with those interested in early silent films. There area few trains three each day, and also a bus service during the week. Not at the weekend, however, as I found to my cost on another occasion when I drove a friend's car home for her - and then found there were no buses on Saturdays by which to travel back to the coast!, and the next train would have kept me late for my meeting. Luckily, there were others around to heading the same way. While Skočjam and Lipica are open all year, there are also smaller caves in the area which are open only in the tourist season. To drive there from the coast takes about 30 minutes, and about the same driving time will take you to Postojna and the more famous caves there, or to Predjamskigrad, an amazing Castle , most of which is inside the mountain, hence its name - the castle in front of the cave.AnnSlovenia

The room was lovely (much more than I needed for one person) and had more than enough closet space and hooks. Wasn't expecting a terrace but it was absolutely wonderful to have. Also, the staff were caring and top notch to go above and beyond for a human, professional experience. In addition, the attached restaurant around the corner was exquisite! Yummy truffles and you have to taste the house-made liker teran!

The dorm room has AC which was very good and you can get a discount for the caves which are literally next door. The breakfast was amazing! We didn’t had dinner but apparently it was very good. There is also a kitchen one can use to cook their own food. The staff and especially Ingrid were lovely. We talked a lot to her and she told us a lot about Slovenia.RuthGermany

There was a secure garage for us to store our bicycles. The buffet breakfast was good with many options. The staff were very accommodating and we enjoyed a happy hour on the patio in front of the hotel. The attached restaurant has really good food, too. The hotel is convenient to the caves, which is nice.

We also had a large undercover balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the bus station and 45 minutes walk from Škocjan caves. We highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Divača or the Škocjan caves.
