This is one of the strangest and most unexpectedly fabulous places we've ever stayed. We were in Valmiera at the start of a canoe trip on the Gauja and just needed somewhere to sleep for the night. What we got was a huge and spotlessly clean room, with desk and TV, and a view out into the forest, four comfortable single beds, a large entrance lobby with storage- lockers, en suite toilet and separate en-suite shower. The rooms are designed to be used for visiting sports teams and are simple & very well soundproofed - ideal for a short stay where a bit of extra space would be helpful. Staying in this state-of-the-art sports complex is really interesting and we watched athletes and enthusiastic locals training in the indoor arena and outdoor all-weather track as we walked around. Breakfast (an extra Euro 6.50 per person) was very good, generously portioned, and served in the cafe near the entrance atrium. The staff were really, really helpful, letting us park our car for the week we were away canoeing and giving us use of a changing room and shower at the end of our adventure at no additional cost. The Stadium Hotel is amazingly good value for what it is and we will certainly use it again if we are back in Valmiera.
Located 200 metres from Vidzeme Olympic Centre, Sports Hotel offers 3-star accommodation in Valmiera and features a garden.

In march the was not much happening in the town. Rates Varti restaurant was cosy but the dishes were served almost cold. The lunch in the Wolmar Hotel cost only 6 euros beeing well worth it. The Olympic Casino was a strange place for gambling addicts.

Pleasant small city with an indoor shopping mall and a surprising number of attractions. The hotel restaurant is quite good, and other restaurants are within a moderate walk or an easy drive. Reasonable parking available near the church and the shopping mall.

I have been there couple of times before, but i really enjoyed parks, area around castle ruins and also Daliņi park next day. The food was also pretty good, we visited one place during the evening and one next morning - both were good. Well, some bar or brewery is missing in Valmiera to get some more tourists- youngsters. And im pretty sure that in close future it will be much more beautiful because are around castle ruins and also theater is under reconstruction right now.

We came to Valmiera for a concert of Auli (the amazing Latvian bagpipe and drum band) and Lucas muiza, being close to the centre, yet in the nature, was just a perfect place to stay.
We didn´t come to Valmiera for Valmiera, but for to rest, enjoy food, walk and enjoy music.
This short weekend trip was just perfect for us. The sauna after concert was also just what we needed.
The hotel was private and small, quiet in the night.
Beautiful and historical place! Really special accomodation! I loved the old shed, the historical things inside and outside. It felt like sleeping in a museum. Every detail is really special and created with so much love and a feeling for art. Yes - as described - it is NOT a hotel. It is Glamping. But if you are used to Camping and you want some more comfort and you like stay in cute and individualistic accomodation you have to stay here!
Very clean, very quiet. The apartment definitely has an atmosphere and flair of a Latvian provincial town of sixties. It was equipped with everything I could wish except for a microwave. The bed, blankets and pillows were of good quality. Plenty of towels. Books, toys and table games available. The personnel was exceptionally helpful and accessible at any time. Parking on the street.
This hotel was a lovely place to spend one night in Valmiera. It’s just down the street from a beautiful Riverside park where we took a lovely walk in the early evening. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was great. Parking is available right on the property.
The house is renovated and in a lovely location by a lake. It's perfect if you're looking for privacy. There was plenty of firewood available. We also had a barbecue. There were even boats available for our use. The house is only about a half hour from Valmiera.
This is an excellent place within walking distance of downtown Valmiera (through an enjoyable hiking path). We really enjoyed the inside fireplace and outside entertaining area. It's perfect for group get togethers, and I we look forward to coming back again!
The rooms were very clean and well designed. I especially liked the fact that the hotel had focused on the needs of handicapped people (the floors were even without door frames etc.). Even though I'm not handicapped myself it was a nice thing to think about.
The apartment was stylish and well thought through. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had all the amenities that we needed, even coffee and sugar. Super close to all the main attractions in Valmiera center/old Town.
This is the perfect place to stay in Valmiera! The flat was much bigger than we expected. Everything was super clean and comfy. Very good location. Definitely staying here again on our next trip!
OK hotel - good price/quality ratio. A bit away from center, but if you have a car - it's 7 minutes to get anywhere in the town. Great hotel staff - solved all questions better than expected!
Very cozy room. Comfortable and warm. Big room for the hotel. Have toys for kids and a kitchen with primary needs.
Good Internet and tv with YouTube and Netflix.
