This was a very last minute booking but the hotel was so lovely. The staff were very warm and welcoming from the very moment we had arrived. Nothing was too big of an ask and they delivered in every aspect. The room was very lovely and homely, it was immaculate with luxuries provided. The breakfast service was lovely, ensuring our needs were met. The service was spot on!
On our last day we had slept through breakfast, and as they noticed we weren’t there, they had offered us a little snack bag to take away with us for the journey. This touch was so lovely, and I have never seen service like this in any other hotel I’ve stayed at.
A special thanks to John, Nicki and Felix, you guys had made our stay extra special. We really appreciated the hospitality you guys have offered. Due to that, we will definitely be coming back again!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The harbour area and beachfront are great for relaxing and walking to Babbacombe and Cockington village and also to Paignton. There were also lots of buses as an alternative. Views are fantastic from the front. Torquay town is typical of most towns these days and has a few people sleeping rough. Just a few shops not found elsewhere.

Torquay is a faded gem.
Torquay is a faded gem. Sadly the area lost the many well-paid jobs in technology which, coupled with the loss of domestic holidays to the mediterranean resorts, cost it dear. The area is now run-down, but there are many attractions still available. It's well worth a visit (I would say that, I lived there for ten years and enjoyed it greatly), as it's a unique corner of the UK!

If you like drinking and being a general yahoo in the streets then Torquay would be the ideal location for you. Definitely don’t recommend driving your car, as you’ll need to walk miles to get to it.
Overrated, with no class to it at all.

The location is heaven with nearby beaches cafes bars So much within walking distance and a real Agatha Christie feel in so many places around Makes you feel like you are in a magical place
This is definitely the best hotel in Torquay
Amazing place to enjoy summer holidays in Torquay, location is fabulous- 5min walk to the beach, 10 min walk to the centre with promenade and harbour. The room was comfortable, equipped with toiletries, enough towels, portable conditioner. Nice shower room. great variety of meals for breakfast for adults and kids, British breakfast, vegan food, waffles with berry sauce etc. Excellent hospitality, few parking places to the rare. next to the hotel best chippy in the town, plus Chinese, homemade cookies shop, grill etc.
The hotel is located within a stone's throw of Torquay harbour. Ganesh (the manager) runs a good business, and is helpful, friendly and welcoming. Hudson's is well-maintained and clean. It's not a swish, modern hotel, but we found it comfortable, indeed we slept very well indeed. Although it's on a main road into town, we didn't find noise a problem. There's a couple of very good restaurants nearby. We liked this hotel a great deal!
My favourite hotel during my 6 week trip across Europe and Asia! Huge room, really lovely, overlooking the seafront. I was put in the suite at no extra cost. Delightful breakfast cooked fresh, with loads of options to choose from. Very clean, with coffee/snacks and towels replenished daily. Lovely, warm and friendly staff- I loved it here and will definitely make it my go-to hotel when visiting family in Torquay!
Hotel was spotless facilities excellent and the room was spotless too excellent shower.great for parking and the location was about a 3 minutes from the harbor and bars and 5 minutes to the town centre. The owners were very nice and pleasant. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.
I wouldn't ever stay here again. The two redeeming factors for this hotel were that the beds were comfortable and all the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel has gone beyond shabby and is in serious need of financial investment
This is the best place to stay in Torquay. Host and other facilities were amazing. Moeover, it is very difficult to find mobile netowrk and WIFI in Torquay. But This place have amazing Wifi network, that give me flexibility to work from hotel.
The hotel is perfect. We had a spacious family room with an amazing view over Torquay Bay. The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were so helpful with my gluten free diet. We will definitely be going back to stay in the near future.
Loved the location was so central to everything. The Hotel and room was so clean and lovely decor. I especially liked the fact they offer a 24hr menu - with late night snacks available. The room was spacious and just the best bed.
Everything the hotel is very clean and tidy
It has the best view 😍.
I think I'm going there again soon.
Cheap as well if you want to save money for your next trip then I recommend going there.
Receptionist was very helpful.
The staff were excellent, and the hotel was kept spotless in terms of the cleaning. The terrace really makes this hotel as it must have some of the best hotel views in Torquay. The food including breakfast was very good too.
Breakfast was excellent. Individually freshly cooked. The owners were friendly and accommodating of our every need. Made to feel welcome from first stepping in the hotel to checking out
We loved our stay. The hotel is in a great location with good access to the South Devon coastal areas and beyond. Comfortable bed, great host and a delicious breakfast.
