The location in the village was fine, fairly central and we had a dedicated parking space off road.
We had dinner there twice and enjoyed it. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, all the staff were very helpful.

Everything, warm welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Room was clean and comfortable. Full English was excellent. Perfect position in the village.

The location is perfect. Within 5 mins walk to the train station.
Beautiful hotel filled with character. Some may see this as outdated but I prefer this to everything painted grey these days.
Rooms very quiet. We had a top floor room with a wonderful view out front.

Litton had a great pub and a useful post office.
Litton had a great pub and a useful post office. Tideswell had 3 pubs, 2 restaurants, a cafe, a butchers, a Coop, 2 x fish and chip shops and a bakery, as well as a few other small businesses. The Star was a great place for a meal.

Tideswell is a convenient village for visiting Buxton, Bakewell and the Monsal trail in the Peak District. It has 3 pubs within the village that all serve food, plus an Italien restaurant, a fish and chip shop and a local convenience store.The eateries get very busy in the evening so it's probably best to pre book. There are plenty of pubs in surrounding villages. You probably need a car to get there, we did not use public transport. Lovely country pubs and essential amenities all within walking distance. Designated parking directly opposite the cottage was fab and enough space to accommodate the dog too. The log burner was an additional touch for those chilly evenings. Would definitely stay here again!

Such a well presented, clean and comfortable cottage - a home from home - in a great location with short walks into Tideswell and to surrounding villages. We enjoyed our walks to Tideswell Dale and nature reserve. Highly recommend this property.
