Hotel was spotlessly clean! Bed was very comfortable, room was lovely and looked out into the little garden which was nice bonus. Meal and drinks in the evening was beautiful and staff were so friendly. Was very quiet at night and had the best night sleep. Can’t recommend this Hotel enough!

Friendly welcome on arrival. This was our 3rd stay here. Location is ideal for local bars and restaurants. Weather was great which was a bonus. The room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities included. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be back.

You need to book well in advance if you want to watch the...
You need to book well in advance if you want to watch the Black Cats at the stadium of light! There is a nice railway connection to nearby Seaham if you want to visit. You can walk along the Wear through a sculpture park and the city centre is excellent for cheap food and drink.

Sunderland is a lovely city with lots of things to see and do. The coast here is beautiful with interesting beaches and walks. The people we spoke to were welcoming and friendly everywhere we went. Everything the people were generous in there attitude towards visitors there was plenty to do and visit public transport was readily available prices across the board were comparable to normal residential areas unusual for a top tourist attraction

The hotel also has its own tea room, the cakes looked out of this world. We stayed for a evening meal package with breakfast the following morning. Could not fault the service the level of food was amazing. They produce their own Gin on site, I myself am not a Gin drinker but enjoyed the lemon Gin. The stay was excellent value for money would definitely stay again. The local bars was very welcoming also.

The cottage was very nice, clean and comfortable.Very relaxing. meeting up after such a long time it was enjoyable sitting in the comfort of a lounge and catching up rather than in a hotel room or a cafe. Very quiet at night.

A bit further up the coast are more cafes/bars and Sunderland is a short Uber away. The main reception was very clean. The parking was handy and free.
