I was traveling by bicycle after request they where able to store my bicycle. Despite other reviews and a current event in the city I wasn't bothered by loud sounds or music. That could be due to the location in the building where the apartment was that I booked (second floor rear side).
Centrally located in the coastal town of Stonehaven, Bayview Bed and Breakfast offers en-suite accommodation with scenic sea views, and beachfront location.

Really enjoyed our stay, will definitely consider booking again. Excellent amount left for breakfast, possibly too much. Liked the fact it was self check in/out as we could arrive when we wanted, worked out well as our train was late arriving into Stonehaven
Crawfield Grange, a property with a garden and a tennis court, is located in Stonehaven, 23 km from Beach Ballroom, 22 km from Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museum, as well as 22 km from Aberdeen Harbour.

Nice town, not to large with enough locations for a drink or a bite.
The beach near the city center is a little dull with only one cafe/bar, "the waterfront". A little to the north there are more cafe's, like Molly's. when walking the coastline to the south there is also enough to see. First some metal miniatures. A little further the harbor where you can also find bar's and restaurants. And from there on you can walk further south to the War memorial monument and finally to Dunnotar Castle.

The harbour area is lovely to wander and pause for a coffee. The beach has an extended walk way, but it's mostly a pebble beach. There's an open air swimming pool for warmer months, and several places to eat including excellent fish and chips! The area around the market square has a lovely range of small independent shops to explore.

Stonehaven is a beautiful seaside town located just twenty minutes by train south of Aberdeen. I can highly recommend visiting the old town siuated around the harbour and old pier which by far are the most attractive parts. Also highly worth visiting is Dunnotter Castle which is just thirty minutes walk south of the town. On the way to the castle you pass a war memorial atop of a hill which is also worth a visit. I also visited Dunnotter Church. Unfortunately the chutch itself was locked, however the graveyard was very peaceful and picturesque. And as a bonus Stonehaven claims to be the birthplace of the battered Mars Bar, which you can sample if you so wish...

We visited Stonehaven to experience the Fire Ball event at Hogmanay. This is the second time we have been and it most definitely did not disappoint. It was fabulous.
It is quite a small town and over New Year a lot of restaurants and pubs were shut but this is to be expected.
We really liked the Ship Inn at the harbour and the Market Inn on the Market Square. There were a couple of nice gift shops and easy access to the beach.
There is a bus running between Stonehaven and Aberdeen which we would have taken had we more time. There is also a castle close by (you would need a car).
The locals are really friendly and make you very welcome.
Overall I would recommend Stonehaven and look forward to returning in the better weather to experience more of what is on offer.

The beach looked great but it wasn't too warm.
The beach looked great but it wasn't too warm. The castle is a bit of an uphill struggle, however there is a bus. Unfortunately if you suffer from vertigo it probably won't be for you.
We've been told that it is great for watching dolphins and seeing the Northern lights unfortunately we didn't see either but it is a great place to go. We'll certainly be back.
We had the most awesome view with the beach and sea just outside our window. It was wonderful sitting in the chairs at the bay window and having some wine. Listening to the surf at night was lovely. The included breakfast was he best we had in our visit to Scotland. Close to walk to the harbor for dinner. Make a reservaiton and make sure you get there before 9pm. We had dinner at the hotel one night and it was good. Unfortunately they had sold out of the Sunday Roast, but we ordered beef and ale pie and it was great.
The staff at Number 44 were faultless. Went the extra mile to make our stay all the better. We had contacted the property ahead of schedule to ask for their help and they could not have done more! Thank you so much that. Michelle in the restaurant works tirelessly and keeps on smiling, a real asset to the hotel. Food was of a high standard, so good in fact we eat there both nights we visited. I would highly recommend this property if travelling to the area if only just for dinner.
This is a very friendly family-run hotel. It is two star so we knew it would be fairly basic but they made us, and our little dog, very welcome. The breakfast was probably the weakest part but the rest of the food was great - home cooking by an excellent chef. The room was clean with very comfortable beds. The location was perfect - just round the corner from the beach and from the excellent busses which serve the whole area.
This is a very comfortable guest house in beautiful Stonehaven. We loved the old house and it was very quiet and peaceful. There is no elevator and you will need to do some stairs. The breakfast is wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful. You are on the main road close to the town square, so walking is easy to anywhere in town. There is great off street parking.
First class accommodation with plenty of space and storage. Breakfast was absolutely scrummy with all produce locally sourced. Michelle makes the bread and jam whilst the grandchildren have their own hens and produce the eggs.
Stonehaven, is a short drive away with its quaint harbour and restaurants. We will definitely recommend the B&B to others.
This gorgeous apartment was perfect for our 3 night stay in Stonehaven. Having 2 double bedrooms, a modern cosy lounge & kitchen facilities meant we had a lot more freedom & space than living out of a single hotel room… plus it was beautifully decorated & perfectly central in the market square
The location was a stone's throw from Stonehaven train station and a short walk down the hill to the harbour.
Parking was just behind the hotel in a large public carpark but there was plenty of space.
Well worth a look is war memorial a mile or so down the coast it's a great vantage point.
We stayed for 3 nights with our 5 year old granddaughter. Comfortable well furnished and equipped and quiet apartment. Nice welcome pack .Good communication with owner about key and parking. We were familiar with Stonehaven so knew the location was close to sea and town centre.
Incredible location in Stonehaven, the friendliest hosts, and a delicious breakfast! I would absolutely return to this wonderful bed and breakfast anytime. It was by far the best B&B I’ve stayed in! A wonderful place to rest in a very beautiful seaside village.
The proprietor was really friendly and helpful, the room was well equipped and the bed super-comfy. It was a nice walk along to the harbour where we ate at the Ship, didn’t really explore Stonehaven much more as it was a night stop
the location is as good as it gets. set 1 row back from the harbour front to alleviate any noise when it gets busy.
the cottage has a great feel to it, with a cozy fireplace and comfortable living quarters
Stylish hotel with pub at the harbour, only the beds were unfortunately worn out. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the beer selection was outstanding. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
Everything really..the home was beautiful. Two large bathrooms, two bedrooms and a wonderful living area. The kitchen had all we needed and more along with an extra little gift.
Ideal accommodation for a stay in Stonehaven. Clean and comfortable hotel with warm and welcoming hosts. Really enjoyed our four day stay over the New Year period.
A very good location right on the harbour and not far from Donnottar Castle. The owner was very friendly and most helpful on locating places to visit in the area.
