Tremendous location. Good bar and restaurant. The grilled langoustines were particularly delicious. The full Scottish breakfast was just right. The staff were friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to help when necessary.

I only spent one night in Portree so my judgement is limited. Even before the tourist season started, it was quite crowded. I can’t imagine what it must be like at the height of the season. Skye is lovely but expensive compared to other locations in Scotland.

Very touristy not quite what we’d expected restaurants we sampled not as good as on the highlands NC500 so for us I wouldn’t do Skye in favour of the Highlands I’d spend longer on the NC500 west side.

We loved Rockview.
We loved Rockview. The view of the harbor from our room was spectacular. We could easily walk To the town of Portree to eat and shop! Location was perfect to sightsee . The owners were so helpful and nice! Would highly recommend Rockview!

A beautiful highlands town. Dinner reservations can be a bit of a challenge, however, you are on vacation typically and need to be patient. The food is definitely worth it - I stayed 4 nights and did not have a bad meal or experience.Bonnie

They are very friendly and helpful and their focus is on ensuring the guests have the information they need to enjoy the Portree area and Skye generally. Jordan cooks an awesome breakfast while Jayne attends to your every need. They also ensure the rooms are spotless for their guests. We loved the soap from the Highland Soap Co too! The Isle of Skye was the most beautiful place we’ve ever been to and the Marmalade Hotel is perfectly situated in Portree, so you’re never too far from anything that Skye has to offer. I would highly recommend visiting the Fairy Pools and Kilt Rock/Mealt Falls, both are incredible views.

Our hosts were exceptional, friendly and the breakfast was fantastic...a true home-cooked meal. The location was very quiet and the beds extremely comfortable. This little lodge felt like a home away from home - we had a wonderful stay. Next time we visit the Isle of Skye, we will absolutely be staying at Creagory Skye again!

The facilities were amazing. The reception team was very attentive and polite. Hope the guy who was his 3rd day goes well, he was really kind and polite. The breakfast was incredible. Highly recommended. Planing to visit again the isle of Skye soon and this will be the place where we are going to stay again.

Room was large as well and the town gets relatively quiet at night. One occasion of drunken Scottish signing on the street had us laughing, but other than that it was very quiet. We struck lucky, the Calendonian was a lot cheaper, in a better location in Portree centre and very comfortable. Very friendly helpful staff, superb breakfast and clean recently refurbished room.
