Lovely grounds. Eventually we found our way to the riverside. We were too tired to take advantage of the sports facilities such as the gym or tennis courts.

The river views from the conservatory and dining room were excellent. The riverside lawn with plenty of seats/tables and outside service were also very good. There was also a good size lounge and bar. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout.

Bit of a mixed bag which isn't really the fault of the hotel. There is a sinkhole in the car park which has shut the restaurant to the public, but the hotel remains open. Because of this situation the hotel is managed on a part time basis by Ryan who give him his due performed admirably. Our room was lovely and I will stay again but we felt we missed out due to the sinkhole situation, which obviously is of no fault of the hotels.

Marlow is a great town with interesting shops and a great selection of places to eat. As it is on the Thames there are lovely walks along the river and even a place to rent small boats by the hour. We especially enjoyed The Ivy and the delicatessen/coffee shop. The Two Brewers pub had a great atmosphere and good food.

Picturesque town on banks of river Thames.
Picturesque town on banks of river Thames. Pretty high street. Lots of choice for shopping and cafes/restaurants. Lovely walks in several directions and along with many eateries being dog friendly, it makes for a great place to bring your dog. The only down side was the large number of huge cars which made the drive over the bridge a bit slow due to these cars having issues getting through the width restrictions.

Lovely little waterside town with loads and loads of different places to eat & drink.
Lots of parking and some beautiful riverside walks to help build an appetite or walk off food.
We ate at the The Hand & Flowers and it was well worth the trip. Yes it is pricey to eat there, but we went for the fixed menu lunch which was amazing. Highly recommended for that special occasion.
It was our first visit and we will be back.

Marlow is a beautiful town, and would always recommend a visit at least once, in a lifetime. We have been visiting the Compleat Angler for 12 years, and overall recommend a stay. There is a possibility that if you return, your next stay may not be the same as the last.

The location is between Beacons Field, Marlow and Henley. In the middle of nowhere and many small villages with Historical value. It's strange to get so high about a sports complex, but this place is special with its links to the Olympics and professional bodies.
The accommodation was excellent as was the breakfast. A really good atmosphere, which we will visit again and use the facilities next time.
The Gym facilities were good as you would expect and all the staff were friendly. The WiFi works well.
I honestly believe that if this is to be a centre of excellence then the facilities including the bedrooms should be beyond excellent. At best they are budget hotel standard. What athlete would want to stay here. Our team GB deserves better!
The room was very nice, could have done with a mirror though, very large in barn across the road, very comfy bed, breakfast was excellent, limited choice, but put a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels to shame in terms of freshness, and presntation, all the staff very, very pleasant.
Breakfast was 1st class
Room was very nice, and an upgrade from the original one, which looked out onto the road, so bonus points for that.
The pastoral setting, which makes Hurley one of the best choices on the river for charm and tranquillity
3 black pubic hairs found in bath. Filthy cups. Inappropriate response from hotel- suggesting that as didn’t report immediately (even though we were getting ready to go out) that we are lying. Would not recommend. Too far out from town too.
i liked the rooms well decorated could of done with a better view was told they were for weddings and conferences. Also liked the lake wish coffees was a bit cheaper one coffee, one latte, one lemonade £11.
Room 55 had a marvellous view of the Thames and was very comfortable. the hotel location was ideal for easy accesss to the shops etc. The breakfast was outstanding, with very supportive staff.
The room and property far exceeded expectations and made the last day of our England vacation wonderful. Loved the ambiance of the room and property and especially all the little details.
I booked this for my Mom’s birthday. My parents absolutely loved their stay, they thought the hotel was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.
Perfect place for a soft landing in the UK only 30 minutes from Heathrow. Everyone made our stay so welcoming and comfortable. We highly recommend Chequers Marlow!
Our bedroom was comfortable and quiet. Staff were friendly. The location is marvellous - right by the river and just across the bridge to Marlow itself.
