Everything about the property was amazing. The room was gorgeous and so clean and well presented. It was so cosy and tucked up the back of the garden. We loved everything about our stay and hosts were so lovely as well. Can’t wait to come back.

Location was really pretty with gardens, farm areas and river to walk my dog. Hotel was convenient for travelling to and from Glasgow. Bowls, bedding and biscuits provided for dog too. Room service with breakfast was really welcome. Room and Bed was really comfortable and was given a fan for room during hot weather weekend. Hotel staff were lovely…welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond to help with any request to ensure a comfortable stay at Popinjay.

We stayed in Copper Beach Cottage, it was in the perfect location to unwind and relax. Our host Joanne was very welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the bed was really comfortable and we braved the bath outside, which was lovely and warm on a cold February night with the added bonus of listening to an owls call. Everything you could need is supplied for the benefit of enjoying your stay. It was worth a visit and we hope to stay again.

Great walks near the hotel on the nature trail - stunning views of the waterfalls! The town itself is beautiful with lots of history, and our room had a great view of the water. Loved the room, it was huge and really comfy. Will definitely be coming back.

A lovely historical town with lots of individual shops.
A lovely historical town with lots of individual shops. Be sure to visit The New Lanark Model Village, which is a World Heritage Site from the 18th century. It is a Mill Village sitting alongside the picturesque River Clyde, and see the Falls while you are there.

We toured New Lanark and the Clyde River Falls. The forest there is magical and definitely worth the visit.
Though a small town, Lanark has traffic congestion problems. It seems that to go anywhere all traffic has to use the main highway through town.

Overall we loved our time at the waterfall cottages New Lanark which were quite beautiful and unique. A shuttle bus into Lanark would be a huge improvement for the business and be a good reason to choose the hotel/cottages over Lanark itself.
The Badger Walk was really lovely and more could be done to enhance this side of things with walks downstream too, which seemed to stop after the car-park. Or better map/description.
The Pool/Gym/Spa/Sauna etc. being within the cost of our stay was excellent value.
A discount (50 percent) for guests for the Mill tour would be warranted. We didn't bother with it, even though it looked good, as it was so expensive on top of the accommodation cost.

It is an understated part of Scotland.
It is an understated part of Scotland. We were only there to pick up a puppy but it is a gorgeous area. It is a good area for visiting other parts of the country. It feels abit forgotten and I think abit more investment would make it a brilliant place for people to go to .

The area is in a really lovely part of the world and fairly easily accessible by train but would highly recommend by car. I would recommend the Station House Hotel very highly it is a beautiful hotel in really beautiful countryside. If you have children there are plenty of things to do and there are some wonderful walks. I really do not think that you will find a nicer place to stay and it is excellent value for money.
Our room exceeded expectations. Everything was to a high standard with much thought and care reflected in the choice of furnishing and fixtures. We were made to feel most welcome. As the property is a little way out of Lanark we had taken food for the evening. The owner invited us to use the breakfast room, providing cutlery, crockery and glasses, and also lit the stove in the lounge for us even though we were the only guests there that evening.
The village of New Lanark is unique, the Hotel and Waterhouses compliment the village and the gorge well. The standards within the hotel and the village are high and the entire place is always clean. The food is lovely, the staff are friendly and professional. The walk up to Coralinn Falls is lovely with sections of wooden walkways along the banks of the Clyde to the Falls and up the hill to the viewing point.
The Annexe Cottage is a spacious home with a separate lounge room, separate kitchen meals area and large bedrooms. On site parking was provided, there was also a washing machine and clothesline.. It was located about 10 minutes from New Lanark and Lanark township so it was easy to get groceries and provisions. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Parking on site was also great.
The apartment was stylish and spotless. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. It was in an amazing place so in the centre of Lanark 10m from the train station and so close to shops. The Hostess incredibly sweet getting in touch before we got there offering advice on the local area and advising on booking a restaurant.
Stayed while travelling to the Outer Hebrides on our motorcycle..
New Lanark is a fascinating location and the hotel provides a good standard of accommodation for an overnight stay. Clean, tidy and well appointed room, good food at both dinner and breakfast. Not my first visit, would return again and recommend.
Alan was the perfect host- interesting to talk to and very friendly.
The accommodations are very up to date and just lovely. Breakfast was delicious - could not ask for anything more!
The area is peaceful and beautiful . Sheep grazing on rolling green hills. I would love to return sometime.
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Huge, delicious breakfast. Helped me call for cabs and took me to the train station when none was available. Conveniently located to visit New Lanark. Bonus friendly dog!
Warm, helpful and friendly staff made our stay great. Room was comfortable with easy parking.
we found it a convenient spot to explore the area - the Kelpies, Bannockburn, New Lanark. Breakfast was nice.
This was an amazing property with a hot tub on the second floor balcony , comfortable bed, excellent shower, a sitting area and a large dining table. Our hostess was so accommodating and friendly.
I liked the view from the hotel room on the river clyde. The bathroom was super big and check in was very smooth. Also the parking space in front of the hotel was big and spacious.
A cozy and luxurious hideaway in an architecturally interesting town. Excellent full Scottish breakfast, welcoming hosts. I can't imagine a better place to stay in the area.
Friendly staff. Everything in the room was set for 3 people which is not always the case in other hotels. We usually have to request additional cups, towels, glasses etc.
Location to the surrounding countryside was excellent, as a native Lanarkian having a visit home, it was priceless. Nice to visit with the horses living at the farm
