I loved the little apartment off the terrance with easy access to the bike shed. Staff helped me with bike rental suggestion and an option that enhanced my visit to the Sloedam Causeway memorial. Thank you for pointing me in the direction of a route to the beautiful architecture in the city - I will come back to Middelburg and know to stay longer next time.

Middelburg was full of surprises at every corner. A tourist friendly easy walk around town. Beautiful architecture, cafes, and restaurants.
Nothing to fault in this town other than if you have a car parking difficult and expensive. Easy to access via trains.

Middelburg is a charming medieval city with cobblestone...
Middelburg is a charming medieval city with cobblestone streets, lovely churches, beautiful canals, and its own windmill. The shopping district is extensive, and there are restaurants of every kind with cozy outdoor seating. Dining outdoors on the main square is lovely!
Middelburg is a very walkable city. The train station is not far from old town, so if you book a place in old town you can usually walk there in less than ten minutes. We found affordable parking for our car in an underground garage by the Albert Heijn grocery store on Het Groene Woud. I can't think of any restaurants to avoid; every place we went was pretty great. Prices are a little higher on the main square.
I would recommend renting a bike and riding around the city, especially going out into the green countryside to see the cozy houses, sheep, cows, and goats. In the summer, there are flowers in abundance. The ocean is also just a few kilometers away and is a nice place for a sunset walk.

Beautiful houses with elegant doors.
Beautiful houses with elegant doors. Walking around town is great. A visit to the local museum of Zeewyse is also worthwhile and interesting. True, the fashion exhibition is closed. Nice, great restaurants and cafes. We had dined at the restaurant Basalt and were very pleased with the excellent food and service. A very nice central square. It was very interesting to get to the flea market, which happens quite often here.

Middelburg is one of my favourite places in the Netherlands.
Middelburg is one of my favourite places in the Netherlands. Very historic and beautiful star Fort city, the central plaza at the stadhuis is huge and filled with bars and restaurants. Small enough town to walk around easily, and the expected standard of cycle paths and signs, makes it a great place to stop when cycling Zeeland
The room was amazing large, with a bank and jacuzzi. Because of the space and the jacuzzi you can really relax with the music on the background. The hotel itself has a nice restaurant if you like something special, which you sometimes wants. Then you can straight from the jacuzzi to the restaurant. That's very comfi.
For what else was nice; the free parking for electric cars, the nice breakfast and the location in Middelburg. Just a perfect stay!
while the outside of the hotel is very unassuming, the inside is very warm and friendly. I have seen some reviews that the rooms are cold. What I noticed during my stay was the radiator valve was closed. I opened and then the heat started flowing. The room was small but we’ll laid out and very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very expansive and very good.
We liked the location of the hotel surrounded by nature, not far from the historical center, just 5 minutes to walk, the spacious room with an exit through the French window to the terrace and to the garden with a swing on a tree, coffee, tea bar and caramels in the room replenished every day, very good breakfast with delicious cheeses, nice historical decorations in the hotel and very kind and helpful hotel staff.
Room, lobby, hotel restaurant and bar are very comfortable with a relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious, but the layout makes it cozy at the same time. The waterfall in the lobby creates an awesome atmosphere.
Our room had a spacious (rain)shower and seperate bath which we liked very much.
The hotel location was ideal for us, to cycle to the center of Middelburg (10-15 minutes).
It is a lovely little, clean and cute apartment in the middle of the old town of Middelburg. Everything is kept quite minimalistic and just right for all your needs. There is a full kitchen and lots of sleeping places. We were only a group of 3 people but there is definitely more space available. There are also several great locations nearby, coffee shops and an amazing fish restaurant.
The location is great, just in the historical centre of Middelburg. The building is full of history and has a fascinating atmosphere. Wim, the host, gave us a warm welcome. He is a very open person and met all our wishes. The breakfast is rich and delicious. The gas stove made it pleasantly warm, despite the very high room.
I had a lovely stay - the room was comfy, the breakfast very abundant, and the owner is a gem. The hotel is very well situated in town, and there's a free parking lot about 10 minutes away by foot. I was lucky enough to be upgraded, and communication was fluid. Thanks again for a wonderful time :)
We love staying here- it has everything we need ! Lovely hosts, somewhere for our bikes , a well appointed and very clean room and some joint facilities to benefit from too. The location on the edge of Middelburg is perfect for cyclists.

Working just before Middelburg in the industrial area, the hotel is just a perfect spot; 500m away for my work... can even walk there.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean and it's in a very good and quiet location. It's certainly a hotel I would return to if I was back in Middelburg.
Erika is a wonderful host. The location is great. The B&B is situated in a charming, cosy old house, in a quiet street in the centre of Middelburg. The breakfast is very nice.
