This was one of the best hotels we stayed on our trip and the staff were exceptional. The bar and waiting staff were all professional, friendly and helpful. The facilities were exceptional especially the outdoor pool in the winter. Skiing was fabulous and we had unlimited activities to enjoy during the day too if you needed a day off skiing. The room was very comfortable and complements to the hotel cleaning staff who always had our room spotless. The food every day was excellent and always a good choice on the menu.

The hotel has a great location. The biggest advantage is that the bus stop is right next door, so it was easy to get to the main lift with the kids. Another important aspect is that there is a children's ski school nearby, so we walked the kids. The room was spacious and had a balcony. There are even several cafés nearby. Wonderful place for hiking and nature lovers. Also a great spot if you followed the Bergdoktor series. If you speak German, you can get the most out of your stay, but we could also get on with English.

A stunning area in Austria, we stayed for 1 week for the skiing season which was perfect. We also thought that it would be a wonderful place to visit and stay, in Pension Rainer, for a walking holiday. The facilities, bars, cafes and restaurants were fantastic and everyone we met without exception were so welcoming, helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend and would definitely like to return again.

Ellmau is a nice village in the Brixental, with direct connection to the mountains. Nice place for skiing if there is snow enough. Later in the spring time they do the best to keep the slopes in a good condition and Skiwelt is a large area, so it's not difficult to find good slopes for skiing. Only when it is warm weather in the winter and many people comes (typically on Saturdays when many people from Munich comes here for one day skiing) then in the afternoon the condions for skiing are not so good like in the morning, it can be felt that the altitude of Skiwelt is not very high. Very good and nice restaurants everywhere for some lunch during the skiing day. We were satisfied with our family skiing stay.

One of the most spectacular of our stays was at the Tirol Lodge in Ellmau. Its an excellent location for direct access to the ski slopes and even though there was no snow when we were there you can see how fab it would be in snow season! The scenery was breathtaking.

Great location, at the bottom of a run and next to a ski hire centre. It is close to the village centre with bars, restaurants and supermarkets but is in a quiet location. It has very comfortable beds, easily adjustable heating and a lovely living room with doors to a sunny patio and Netflix on the TV! The Loy family were very welcoming and helpful.
Great host and family. This is a very historic hotel whose owner's father helped Ellmau become the skiing destination that it is today. The rooms were designed to host large families and had the 1st elevator among all hotels in the region.
The rooms are spacious and they overlook the mountain. The staff and service are great as well.
Very clean, very comfortable, great breakfast, good location for lifts (2 mins walk) and skibus (stops outside hotel). Free water and hot drinks in the evening and honesty system for snacks. Free curling on-site and free use of sledge for nearby toboggan run (great fun, take time to do it)! Skiroom with heated boot racks.
- Excellent location in the heart of Ellmau, very close to restaurants and shops.
- Close to ski lifts. Ski Buses stop is across the street.
- Very clean room and very neat place in general.
- Friendly owner and staff.
- Very good quality breakfast, freshly baked bread, croissants, small pastries.
The host Franz, was very welcoming and helpful.
The location and view from the apartment was spectacular.
When it snowed in the town you can ski pretty much to the door otherwise there is good access to small lifts in Ellmau and ski bus to the main gondolas.
The hosts (Keith and Manu) were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The property was clean and equipped with all the essentials.
The location is excellent for skiing in the Ski Welt area with ski lifts nearby.
Thank you for the hospitality.
Very efficient staff with Personal touch, excellent location, beautiful place and amenities, great breakfast and dinner ( with waiters going out of their way to attend to your needs) great music band on wednesdays at the bar , with super bartender
I loved the hotel location. It is great place for anyone who wants to be first on the piste or have a break in the middle of the day. Pool and sauna were great features after all day skiing. Free parking at the property is a great value too.
Excellent location near the center of Elmau with nice view from the generic room on the Wilder Kaiser. Nice place to sit outside in the shade. Room to store things while we where on a cabin hike. Very helpful and friendly staff!
The public room with view on the Wilder Kaiser, the kitchen, balcony, place to sit outside and storage for our stuff while we were on a cabin hike. There is no breakfast served. But the M-preis supermarket is very near by.
Amazing very helpful host
New apartment with great view to the mountains
Separate room for skis and ski boots
2 huge ski resorts near by (SkiWelt & KitzSki)
Grocery (Billa) and Restaurants nearby
Location is perfect right in the middle of town. For the price (we had 3 in a large room) it was very good vfm. The bus stop is a 30 second walk and ski shop right underneath the block.
Very nice area, 15 minutes from town, excellent parking facility also for a motorbike. For skiers in winter just at the lifts. (we were there in September though.
The apartment is very clean and comfortable. Wifi works good, and there is a parking spot. The host is very friendly and helpful. There are ski lifts nearby.
