The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The room had everything you needed and was extremely clean .
The food was excellent, and even had music on that evening.

This guest house exceeded our expectations. Everything was top quality. The linen, the beds, the decoration in the room, the hospitality. And the breakfast! The breakfast was *the* highlight. Everything was delicious. And our hosts made us feel like home and looked after.
Ample parking space and close to the Moher Cliffs (which was our destination).

The location is excellent for visiting the cliffs. The breakfast and servers in restaurant were great

We would have stayed in Doolin if we would have known there wasn’t traditional music as advertised at our hotel. It was the whole reason we stayed there and the music was in Doolin, not Lisdoonvarna.
The tourist economy is extremely competitive. Tourists want to see quaint and experience attractions in the short time they are traveling through a community. It’s expensive for a city to provide those kinds of things that demanding travelers want. Perhaps a regional travel organization can increase collaboration among communities to set the stage for regional success, not just success for Doolin.

Did not explore Lisdoonvarna itself too much but it would have been worth a day or two, just too much other stuff pre-planned. Was a great base to the Burren, Doolin, Cliffs of Mohr, Aran islands ferry.

Live music at the Ritz, however all the large hotels were shut to the public as they were being used to house refugees. Absolutely no problem with that use but they surly could allow the public access to the restaurants coffee shops etc as without this there were only limited facility in the town.

Considering that it is a tourist destination, it is quiet shabby I thought. The town coucil (like many others in Clare) should consider a factfinding trip to the likes of Westport to see how a tourist town SHOULD look like.
The "What would you recommend Lisdoonervarna for" sectoin is challenging "Its central position in North West Clare and the roads out of it" was not an option..

We went for the festival which we went to every year before Covid and I am sorry to say it was not as it usually is. All of the hotels were closed which was a major disappointment. Thankfully the Ritz still serves great food but the Matchmaker bar which is usually excellent was closed along with a lot more.
I am afraid we will not be going back and this saddens me as the festival was usually hopping.

We loved Lisdoonvarna.
We loved Lisdoonvarna. The town is small but lively and we really enjoyed the Ritz House Hotel. First, they were very kind, with free Wi-Fi available in the bar. We had an excellent dinner there, with great food, service and atmosphere. We wished we had booked to stay there!
We used the trip as a point for visiting the Aran Islands from nearby Doolin. This worked very well and we had a wonderful day out there, in the care of Doolin Ferries.
I was travelling with other two friends by bus through main tourist sites in Ireland. Initially we didn't know where to stay, but when we saw the Greenlawn Lodge was an option, we booked it without hesitating! It was the best choice ever! Excellent location, beautiful house and rooms and, last but not least, amazing staff - Everything exceeded our expectations! Patricia was super kind, made us feel at home and gave us the best recommendations for our stay. Thank you so much Patricia & team! We had the best time with you :)
Nellie was the best host we stayed with along the way. We were behind schedule on our itinerary and running late for check in, she told us “sure do it all while you’re there, I’ll be here, there’s no rush”. Such a lovely woman, we had a great conversation with her over a couple of pints. Breakfast in the morning was the best Irish breakfast we had on our travels! Great location in the heart of Lisdoonvarna.
The hospitality from check throughout our stay was so warm and caring. They made myself and my husband but more importantly my fur baby Zebo ever so welcome to their property. Our room was comfortable and spacious with tea coffee and biscuits in the room on arrival. The cleanliness of the room was exceptional esp as this was my first time staying at pet friendly hotel. The food was also lovely.
This is a delightful, slightly antiquated hotel in the centre of Lisdoonvarna. Lynn and John made us very welcome and were always very friendly and helpful with plenty of guidance about where to visit and where to eat in the vicinity. We had a large, light, high-ceilinged room with plenty of storage space. Breakfast was good, with a fair range of choices.
Greeted at check in by John, who took the time to show the room and explain the amenities available. Delicious traditional Irish breakfast cooked by his wife Anne, with options for cereals, fruits, cheeses, yogurts. John also recommended the best pub in Dingle for food and music. Close to Dingle, but far enough to avoid the tour buses.
I thought the common spaces were charming and it’s good for families with a lot of kids because the room had beds for all four of them. The staff was very nice and the other guests were too. I love Ireland and love this little town and I hope that somehow the hotel can be updated and get the support it needs to be all that it can be.
Our stay at the Imperial Hotel was perfect. David checked us in & looked after us on our return later in the night. All the staff including bar staff were very friendly & couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was very tasty, service was excellent. I highly recommend staying here & we will definitely be back again.
Very comfortable, clean apartment with everything there that was needed/wanted. Secure parking onsite very good. Right in the heart of Lisdoonvarna, so easy walk to hotels and bars. Short drive to Doolin where you can get a ferry to visit Aran Islands, well worth a visit.
Simply perfect, the suite was so very comfortable bathroom spotlessly clean, decor fabulous and spacious too. The breakfast was simply sublime Best in Ireland no doubt about it! Mary an excellent hostess🇮🇪👌
The location was fantastic, a perfect Irish countryside setting. It was the best breakfast we’ve ever had at a B&B. The room was comfortable and very clean. The host were quite welcoming.
Lovely staff, very friendly and welcoming. Clean and comfortable room. Great location in the centre of town. Good car park to the rear of the hotel. Fantastic breakfast in the morning.
everything about it is as close to perfect as it gets (even when the weather doesn’t cooperate), thanks for a wonderful stay in a beautiful place, and breakfast was just the best ever!
Very good location, good price deal, very friendly owner, the tavern downtown made us have the best evening during our Ireland trip so this is thumbs up!!
