I had a wonderful experience at guest house Luna. The apartment is lovely and so is everybody working there! It is a bit tricky to find on your own, so I would recommend going to the Luna Store just outside the train station. They helped me out a lot with activities around Virpazar and gave me plenty of tips for other destinations in Montenegro too. The house was very clean when I arrived, the beds very comfortable and the wifi worked well all the time.

Marko is an exceptional host; friendly, hospitable and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation is beautiful, comfortable and well-equipped as Marko went to great lengths to ensure that. We booked a boat tour with him and also a dinner on the estate. He shared lots of local information about the lake and its surroundings during our boat tour. Dinner was also delicious - the carp was fresh and delectable. My husband really enjoyed the wine that Marko made. He also happily gave recommendations for restaurants and places of interest in Virpazar. Can't recommend this place enough!

The most favourite spot was the acommodation itself, his hospitality and the lake itself. I ate in a reastaurant, in the house and on the beech.
Everywhere was perfect and delicious.
It is easy to get to Virpazar, both from Sutomore and Podgorica.
There is nothing to avoid, everything was great.

I thought the lake was over-rated.
I thought the lake was over-rated.
We enjoyed a morning kayaking (about 9km) and saw some water birds but I have had much better kayaking experiences elsewhere in pristine environments.
In places the water was smelly, I certainly wouldn't swim in it. There was also rubbish floating in various places. Nice from a distance - climb the short track to the monastary and take in a more distant view.
The township didn't seem particularly special - a base for boat and kayak trips wand a few restaurants.

An incredible place if you like wildlife and easy walking.
An incredible place if you like wildlife and easy walking. A great place to relax for a few days. Lovely lanes and villages to walk looking for tortoises, snakes and lizards. A couple of nice, medium walks off the lanes.
The people are very friendly and can speak pretty good English and like a bit of banter.
Also has some nice relaxed bars and restaurants, no hard sell.

Virpazar is a very small village - a supermarket, a restaurant by the river and one more close to supermarket. The reason to go there is to sail on the lake - must be gordious in the summer - we were there in beginning of april - a bit chilly and not a lot of birds. But we took a boat trip and visited an old church and said hello to the munks from a nearby convent.

The main attraction is lake skadar, and it’s even more beautiful than pictures I’ve seen on the internet. I’ve never seen so much natural beauty before! You have to book a boat tour in order to truly experience the lake in all its glory.

Very small town, bridge is the main attraction and you constantly get hustled into boat trips round the lake. One of the local restaurants wouldn't let us use the toiled under the pretence of no water, but it is OK for them to use it and serve the food. We have been told they do it often so their toilets wouldn't get dirty. Anyway we left for another restaurant Rostiljada outside of the Virpazar and we were not disappointed.
We loved everything about this place! This was our favorite place we stayed in our entire time in Montenegro. The view was amazing from our room! They brought us coffee and juice upon our arrival. They were very accommodating when we arrived early. We did the boat tour while waiting for our room to be ready. The room was extremely clean. I'd say it was cleaner than some 5 star hotels I've stayed at in the US. The owners of the facility are very welcoming, and I felt right at home. Walking distance from lots of restaurants.
The house is 1km outside of Virpazar with a wonderful view of the mountains. The house was clean and well equipped with handmade historical furniture. The host Marko was such a nice human! He was there for any questions we had an fullfilled every one of our wishes. Ask him to show you his vinery, you will not be dissapoitend. 10/10 hopefully we will see each other again!:)
Ps: ask him if you want to do any tours, he will be happy to help and try the sweet traditional breakfast!
We knew what to expect because we stayed there last year .We absolutely love the place!Singing birds, roaring river everything we needed for a relaxing holiday.Very simple with everything you need to have a lovely time.20 min walk from Virpazar where you can find a few nice restaurants .Location for us was perfect.Clean, quiet ,beautiful nature all around.Boat trip highly recommended we had a 6am one.The sunrise is absolutely unforgettable experience.
Very nice host.
The place is just as described, super comfortable and had everything we needed. The shared bathroom was very clean. It's perfectly located in a quiet zone outside of the busy Virpazar, 5 minutes by car from the Godinje beach.
Bato was a perfect host, very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend eating at the house - we had the most delicious meal, with a big plate of freshwater fish and fresh vegetables.
Highly recommended, and would definitely stay here again!
Excellent apartment, and the great view to Skadar Lake.
Wonderful experience!
We will definitely come again!
This apartments is in the very center of Virpazar.
1-2 minute away are all cafes and restaurants, and a large market.
The hosts are very kind, and they organized a ride for us on Skadar Lake.
The room is clean, toilet is large and extremely clean, this is one of the rare apartments where we had dishes, a microwave, a kettle, a fridge...
Great location: House Dunja is close enough to Virpazar (3km), thus main road to Podgorica or seaside; in the same time it is close to the beautiful beach Pješačac. Morning sun on the terrace and maginificent view of the lake are also pluses :)
Hosts are hospitable and informative (ask Mr Đuro about Nikač guvno!), appartment super clean, comfortable, well equipped. So yeah we can highly recommend this house!
Milina is a wonderful host. The apartment is above her house and much of the food she serves is from their land. Great breakfast. Dinner was good too. The place is located about 2 km from Virpazar down a quiet lane. Excellent location to enjoy Lake Skadar from. Only about 30 minutes to airport and Bar. The drive around the lake through Albania takes only about three hours if you don’t stop (but who wouldn’t).
Apartment was comfortable and well presented. Everything was clean to a good standard. Host greeted us on arrival and provided info on how to walk into Virpazar town avoiding walking on the main road. We were also lucky enough to get offered a glass of fresh juice which was delicious. Host was also able to offer airport transfer to Podgorica at an additional cost which was convenient for us.
Great location as it was within walking distance of all of the restaurants, Boat Cruise on the lake. Wifi in the room worked well. Sara was a great host, she helped us plan a hike with our 2 year old son, recommended a boat cruise and great restaurants in the area. Sufficient parking available. Highly recommend staying here if visiting Virpazar!
Studio apartment in Virpazar had everything we needed and was perfectly quiet in the evening. We had dinner cooked by hosts - so delicious - and breakfast in the morning. Hosts are all very kind and go out of their way to do anything for you. Lovely people. They also organised a 3 hour private cruise on Lake Skardar which was wonderful
The apartment is very cozy and comfortable, the kitchenette is equipped with everything necessary to make a quick meal and the view from the patio is simply stunning! But what truly made our stay in Virpazar a highlight of the trip are the hosts. We felt like we were part of the family. Thank you so very much, Slavica and Darko!
Very hospitable hostess, comfortable apartments with a small kitchen. If you love animals, you have a chance to interact with wonderful friendly dogs. The beaches are about half an hour away by car along a beautiful road. There is a decent restaurant 200 meters away, and the lake and Virpazar are within a 10-minute drive.
on the first place is nature and geographically position of the place, close to seaside and located by lake in untached nature. You can visit so many attractions in this small village which is one of the oldest in Montenegro and really feel what this country can offer.
our favorite place in Montenegro. The family was extremely accommodating, friendly and make you feel at home right away. make sure to try their house wine and definitely recommend their boat tour around the lake. Thank you Morvan, Luka and Jelica!
Super cute and comfy cabin. A warm welcome from the host (written note on the fence) and the sweet cat who is very hungry. Warm, nice couch, kitchen and beds. Near the harbor of Virpazar where you can do the boat tour on the beautiful Skadar lake.
Households, milan and Milena are so friendly. The apart is very big and it has a huge balcony. You can take boat tour with Milan. İt is in virpazar. Virpazar is a small Village but you can go there for relaxing and refreshing
A gorgeous apartment right in the center of Virpazar. the apartment has everything you need. I loved the full kitchen. I had such a nice relaxing stay here and would highly recommend. short taxi ride to Podgorica airport.
Marko and his mother are great hosts and we had a wonderful time in the apartment. The view is stunning and the breakfast and dinner are excellent as well. Our stay here was the highlight of our travel in Montenegro.
The hostess was very helpful and friendly. She had some great recommendations. The place is quiet and in walking distance of virpazar.
Really enjoyed our time here exploring the lake.
The apartment was very clean. The lady was also very nice and welcoming. It is located a bit outside Virpazar, just a short 15 min walk to the village center.
